His 1st at bat with the Nats? He couldn't have waited a game or two? No. He can't hit his weight for the Giants. He goes to the Nats and he's the reincarnation of the Bambino. It just does not get more SF.
Its one at-bat. He could cool off.

Erik Kratz has been traded to the Tampa Bay Rays.

The Giants will also send cash, which means the PTBNL could actually be kinda solid.

You know Boch was behind this one. He didn’t appreciate the dude breathing down his neck...

Of course he did.

And if we DFA Mac, he'll hit 30 homers for his new team this season.
We seem to be populating the rest of MLB (or at least the east coast) with our outfield cast offs (Nats - Parra, Mets - Altherr, Yankees - Maybin, Braves - Joyce).

One bit of warning, though...

Has Mac ever heard of a guy named Jarrett Parker?

Sigh

Neither guy was ever a *stud* prospect, but it wasn't hard to envision both of them manning the corners for a few years. Both certainly have talent, but just could get over that hump. I mean shit, at the very least you would think they could have been a platoon combo. Baseball's a bitch

Andrew McCutchen out for the rest of the year after tearing his left ACL on Monday. He went on the 10 day but I'm sure the Phillies will soon move him to the 60 day. Too bad for him because he is yet another ex-Giant outfielder hitting better now that he left SF. His OPS was close to his career average at the time of the injury.
