He shouldn't. There aren't 20 QBs better than a healthy Cam Newton

I am quite sure that is true.

But most of the teams who have those guys aren’t in the market for 1 reason or another.

Either they are committed to a young player trying to figure things out, or have a lot of money already invested in someone perhaps just marginally worse.

Agreed. Was wondering if you're fimilar with maizeNblue09? He's a super-duper homer. When Day was 1st hired all he did was laugh about it & call him a high school coach. Well now that HS coach has some things Jimmy Jam doesn't. Like a division crown, a conference crown & already has more wins in The Rivaly than the vaunted Mr. Harbaugh. HaHa to all of ann arbor & their goofy fans.
Probably seen his posts, but not say I "know him" and know that I have seen them.

I was definitely not sure about Day or how he'd do, but a HS coach?

The fact he was 5 foot 11 and they had almost no proven commodity at receiver. And the Baylor offense being somewhat hokey.

How many number ones you know are 5 foot 11?

So they let Taylor Gabriel go and Travis Benjamin leave so they could draft another little guy?

Bleh
OBJ is 5-11. Landry is 5-11, though he went round 2.

More recently Ruggs is 5-11. don't recall if he went round 1 but Aiyouk is 5-11

They let Gabriel and Benjamin go because they were dime a dozen players and not worth what they wanted in a rebuild.

MazeNblew09 has been in denial for more than 5 years now. He was so sure Jimmy Jam was going to roll into ann arbor & dominate from day one. But on the plus side for wolvereeeen fans like mNb09 he still can proudly celebrate all those national titles from 100+ years ago.

I'll even admit I thought Rich Rod and Harbaugh would be better than they are/were. Not even sure how much it is actual coaching but we are crushing them in recruiting.

RichRod was a disaster from the from the get-go. Which I loved. He's the same idiot that one of the first things he did when he got to ann arbor was take all the pictures of former UofM greats down in the athletic center. WTF was that? And he also cut players left & right. Remember that Boren kid that RichRod said was too fat & slow to play at meeeechegan so he ended up at Ohio State & was a starter?

And Harbaugh. I gotta admit I'm a little shocked at his lack of overall improvement since he got there. His record vs. ranked teams is an embarrassment.

And obviously that doesn't include his losses to ranked team last year.

No division titles. No conference crowns. Only coach in UofM history to start 0-5 vs. Ohio State. His team has given up an all time worst 118 points the last two meeting. And there last two bowl games. Both losses. By a combined score of 76-31.

If his named wasn't Harbaugh there's no way he'd still be pacing the sidelines of the big 'shit' house on Saturdays.

But the majority are not and it's pretty clear Landry isn't a one. Tyreke hill

Basically you have to be a freak athlete to be a one at that height.

And the commonality is that hill and Landry were not first rounders

If it's your first draft ever maybe not draft a 5 11 wideout is all I'm saying. They pretty much busted on every pick but schobert.

Revisionist history on MJ is amazing.

He was incredibly great.

And at the same time, perhaps somewhat overrated because of what those Bulls TEAMS did in the 90s.

People think he was an untouchable god.

And besides, impossible to be underrated when you are the GOAT:

I don't understand how people think he could just will a team over a much better team. He failed to do that half a dozen times in the 80's.

And to be fair LeBron couldn't either.

Clearly they botched the pick but probably more because he didn't care enough to put in the effort and was a dunderhead as opposed to how tall he was.

OBJ was a first rounder and was picked higher than Coleman FWIW.

agree....though I do think Lebron has won with less talented rosters (not much...maybe a couple times).

It's not like it's impossible for a shorter receiver to bust out just saying it's much less likely

Yes, when I think of the people who have lived the luckiest possible lives, I think of people eating leftover meatloaf somewhere in Montana. You might be right about the bastard part too.
