I just don't think any other country has a much better one. Switzerland?

That's the thing that I think a lot of folks sometimes forget.

Despite our countries flaws, mistakes and issues both past and present...is there another country that any of us would rather live in?

I can think of a couple that I wouldn't mind living in. But none that I'd rather live in.

How many other countries enjoy the level of freedom that we do? In some countries, we'd all be in jail or killed for some of the stuff we say on here.

Of course, this doesn't mean we should ever stop trying to make things better.

I hate that crap where people disagree about what needs to be done to improve the country and start calling each other "un-American".

I can't think of much that's more American than having 2 or more sides that have different views on what to do, arguing and debating until they eventually come up with something that works for everyone on some level.

Just wish there was more civility to it.

It used to be a little more civil I think. The real hate started with Bill Clinton, then got worse with each president until we got here. Social media hasn't helped.

I have done a lot of traveling in my life for work and I can tell you that no other country has the combination of freedom and natural resources that we do. Had a guy come from Australia to work here for a year and he called America the land of milk and honey. He was constantly amazed by traveling around at our vast water supplies, something that we just take for granted.

So Italy top soccer league is returning May 3rd according to a report from today. We're 10-14 days behind Italy with corona so this is encouraging for the NBA coming back in June. Just likely mean no fans which i'm ok with if the alternative is canceling the season.
