Love how these fanbases are using the injury excuse every time they lose a game

When you rely heavily on one or two star players leading your team, its not an excuse any more.

Do you think the Sixers (as they currently are) without Embiid and Simmons even stands a single chance in the playoffs?

The Lakers without AD and Lebron? Rockets without Harden and Russ?

We've already seen what happened to the Warriors without Steph and Klay.

Only team that would actually have a winning record, or close in that case would be the Clippers IMO, without Kawhi and PG

@CitySushi @msgkings322 ,

Is this Brady to San Fran chatter real?

* Remembers this is the NBA board *

Go Clippers!!!

Big game against the Rox tomorrow.

I'd say probably not. It's just the media putting 2 and 2 together when it comes to "fits" for Brady. He's looking for a superbowl contender. Jimmy G has been constantly under the microscope. So you know it works in that fashion.

But IMO, there were many more issues in the superbowl than just Jimmy. The O-line was suspect. The Niners just stopped running the ball. The secondary was getting worked. If Brady was just like 5 years younger, I think this is a no-brainer. But he's 42. This was Jimmy's first full year as a starter.

I didn't see that part where he went after the ref. I was watching the Lakers by then. Yeah, he could have been looking at a long suspension for that.
Yeah, his wallet will be a tad bit lighter after this particular bit of fuckery.

He wouldn't be the first guy to struggle with taking a lesser role on a better team. Some guys care more about personal stats than others.

I think he'll be just fine. Especially when he realizes that he's getting just as many points (or close to it) on fewer shots and while expending less energy.

Plus, it's not like he won't get chances to "go off". The Warriors have shown that they are perfectly happy to step back and feed the hot hand.

But, until we actually see it work, there's always the chance that it won't.
Sure, but I'm confident it will be fine, like you said

The NBA is a star-driven league for sure. The Raptors are still a good team this year but they're really not the same team without Kawhi. If not for Kawhi do they even win the title last year?

So far I've been more impressed by his defensive effort than anything. In the 9 games with the Warriors, his DRTG is the best of his career and his ORTG is tied for his best.

Per 100 possessions his assists, steals and blocks are already the highest of his career.

That would be my concern. If he's not seeing the ball as much, does he stay as engaged on the defensive end or does he fall back into bad habits?

Yeah I'm sure he prefers being the second option on a shit team where everyone hates him to being the third option getting tons of open looks on a contender and rehabbing his image

Lose focus is probably the better description. If he's not getting all his shots, will be stay engaged on the defensive end and do the little things?

Not worried at all, given the culture and leaders on the team. He's still young too, and already seems happier and a better player.

I disagree. Game would basically be over with 2 or 3 seconds left if nba went with the ncaa rules. The nba rule make for better endings. I'll take the nba rule over seeing shots from half court or further

Not at all!

2 seconds is plenty of time to get a shot off. Degree of difficulty is much higher though.

1 second SLOB plays are easy to create. Full court plays require a lot more creativity.

Also, prepared coaches can inbound the ball near half court and call the TO on the catch. It would use maybe .5, but they certainly could do that.

And why arbitrarily advance the ball? That is not how basketball is meant to be. At every other level, you get the ball where it was when the TO was called.

I don’t get why teams do this.

They were a Pat Mahomes miracle come back away from a Super Bowl victory.

Brady is probably not better than Garrapalo at this point in their respective careers. Roll with Jimmy G and try to run it back!

No.

Is this a serious question?

I hate it when these type of stats come out that pick very specific dates and numbers.

“Team X has a 22-3 record when it’s a full moon and their star player has a dump between 7:30-7:45am”

I mean well done to the Kings, but a day before that they were on the tail end of a 6 game losing streak.
