Teams should only get one time-out per quarter, and two in the 4th.

Less than 16 minutes played in the Lakers v Sixers game and we've had 6 t.o's already.

This shit is ridiculous.

I actually which coaches were afforded more flexibility in when they could use them. Not less.

One rule I would like to see changed though is the advance to half court rule.

Takes away a lot of potential strategy and honestly makes it too easy. Some of the best NCAA plays of all time are late game, full court out of bounds plays. You completely lose that dynamic in the NBA.

I disagree. Game would basically be over with 2 or 3 seconds left if nba went with the ncaa rules. The nba rule make for better endings. I'll take the nba rule over seeing shots from half court or further

Has anyone ever considered why their team doesn't take a timeout near the end of the half or 3rd quarter when the other teams scores and there's like 3 seconds left? You're probably not going to get a quality shot unless the other team lets you roll the ball up court.

Especially if your team has 4 or 5 TO left.
Wouldn't it be worth it to take the TO, advance the ball, and have a decent chance of making a bucket?
Is the TO that much more valuable versus a decent chance (40%?) at an extra 1, 2, or 3 points?

I see this happen when the other team goes for a 2 for 1 and ends up scoring with a few seconds still left.

For that matter, if there are 30 seconds left in the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd quarters, and your team has the ball, why run the shot clock down where you probably get a low percentage shot off to beat the shot clock? Why not get the best opportunity you can get during the shot clock? Does it really matter if the other team has 6-7 seconds or 15 seconds??? And chances are, they are going to run the clock down for a last look which is generally a poor shot.

Thoughts?

Why does it always seem the Knick’s are in the news for the wrong reasons! Like seriously spike lee has been a season ticket holder for 20 plus years and your gonna yell at him over a little thing like what entrance he comes in? This is one of the many reasons people don’t like the Knicks. Not only are they God awful but then they see stupid things like this where the owner gets mad over which entrance spike lee is entering and it makes people not like the Knicks and we lose fans even more!

Is that an excuse why the C's loss tonight?
No Tatum, Lost Hayward before the half, Kemba on a minutes restriction.

Not an excuse.

There is no excuse to blow a lead like that and no excuse to collapse in the final minute and a half of the game.

Not an excuse. But, it is a reason.

Lots of teams take L's after losing 2 of their top 4 guys.

Bad loss. But, it happens.

Obviously, it's a lame Dolan power move.

But, if he was asked repeatedly to stop doing so, he probably should.

I'm having a hard time believing the Knicks on this one. It seems that if he's been doing that for 28 years and they've repeatedly asked him to stop, it would have blown up before now.

Like, I don't know, maybe after 20 years? lol

Marcus Smart not fouling a guy shooting a 3 when they have a 3 point lead with 1.2 seconds left probably should have been avoided as well. lol

Jaylen Brown got hurt in the 4th quarter, too... didn't play in crunch time or OT.

So, yeah. Otherwise... agreed.

That's just because you don't have Steph Curry. I would love it, LOL.

End of discussion?

I don't see Mommy not Daddy Mecca in here.

* @Heatles84 doesn't count *

Fug outta here with that...lol

You are wrong.

Harden is WRONG.

The Dude is still a work in progress and nowhere near a good shooter. But, he has no skill?

His back to back MVP trophies will tell a different story.

Now you have my permission to end it.

I meant end of discussion of my hatred of Harden, lol. Don't get ruffled over that...

Harden exaggerated because he was butthurt. Happens every day in the league.
