Rumor has it Boogie had a setback and was quite a while away from playing - probably not at all this year.

In that case it makes sense to cut him for a player that can actually suit up.

Also surprising considering the Lakers were claiming they were all about team chemistry. He hasn't played yet, but Boogie was well liked by all and Rondo/AD had played with him before. I didn't even bother to think they'd cut him for that reason even with him being hurt.

Boogie could be done with all the injuries he's had back to back to back but I'd still rather have him over Dudley. Boogie briefly looked viable in limited minutes with the Warriors last year, which is all we need. Dudley has been washed for like 5 years. People remembered he was in the league last year when he almost got into a fake tough guy fight with the Sixers last playoffs and then promptly got schooled.

It comes down to this. If cousins/Lakers are smart, then he gets shut down until October and then Cousins has a better chance of a better recovery. We all know already Cousins former self is gone forever. The Lakers can use Morris now and he is a small upgrade from what they have playing and i think they could move Kuzma to a shooting guard. The Lakers have a really tough schedule ahead and they may be planning another player by waiving Troy
