Lack of awareness cost them the game. Crowder leaving his man to try and draw a charge because Trae Young was about to get a layup with the Heat up 3 was just stupid. Solid chance they win this game if the correct defensive play is made there.

Only good thing for the Heat is they're now entering the easy part of the schedule with lots of home games and lots of bad teams.

9 of the next 12 at home and only play 2 teams over .500 from now until middle of March.

Need to go on a big run the next 3 weeks. They need HCA & would be best to aim for the 3 seed so they can play Indy instead of Philly in round 1

+/- is a horrible stat. Iggy was solid tonight. Had much more to do horrible substitution pattern by Spo who decided it was a good decision to have his 2 best players on the bench for several minutes in both halves.

There really is no perimeter D.
Its just basically hoping for missed shots.

I do agree with that.
Butler sat way to long.
He gets away with that shit at home, but not on the road.

I never said that.
The ball being passed moves faster then players.
Iggy can play D, but if opponents are hitting 3’s and your not, your in trouble.

Iggy also missed 2 of 3 FTs which was huge at the time.

Heat were up 32-26 in the 1st when both Bam and Jimmy went to the bench.

They were down 45-41 when they both returned.

Heat were up 89-78 late in the 3rd when Bam joined jimmy on the bench.

When Bam came back about 5 minutes later, it was a 2 point game.

That is a -19 in the roughly 12 minutes they played tonight with both on the bench. This is silly things that should be avoided if Spo is as good as everyone in the media think he is. I don't know who told him this would be a good idea.

I get Trae is no Kawhi but this guy (Spo) went all out to get the ball out of Kawhi hands in both games vs the Clippers from the first half but when Trae is on fire, he continues to defend him 1 on 1. Lots of things can be pointed out, but regardless, its a pattern.
Hawks were a 15 win team.
If you are a top 4 team in EC you need to find ways to win vs excuses why you lost.

I was banking on this W from the start of the trip. Thought this and the Warriors were the 2 locks IMO. All they had to do was avoid going 0-6 or 1-5 and I would have been ok with this trip. Would have been fine with anything else but of course they go 1-5. Didn't help that they had to deal with injuries to Herro, Leonard, Jimmy, and only having 8 players in one of the games on this trip.

Just need to do what they have done all year long and continue to be a dominant home team. With the schedule the rest of season, I think they have 18-20 wins left in them
