This Lakers v Warriors game is terrible.

Against anybody but GS and the Lakers would be down by double digits by now.

This shit right here is the prime example of why the Lakers desperately need Darren Collison. Lebron sits and even against the G-League Warriors squad with a couple of dudes they signed off the street, the offense can do NOTHING. Rondo is straight up ass. Caruso can't run the offense, he's more of a secondary guard. Cook apparently gets lost in the locker room and can never make it the court. Give them any capable back up PG and this team wins the title. They're easily the favorite. But minutes like this will kill them in the playoffs. Lebron won't be able to 48 mins every game for every series.

Buddy Hield went 9/10 from 3 tonight helping him become the fastest, and probably oldest, player to make 800 3's. Kings starting to turn it around when the playoffs look to be completely out of the picture.

More than other top teams, the Clip's seem to sleepwalk at times... especially on defense.

Even with a guy or two out, that sort of defensive effort shouldn't happen.

The Lakers are 4th in defense. I'm good with that.

The main issue is having a primary ball handler on court when Lebron is out.

Yes and no. Being 4th defensively is a bit misleading, imo.

It's the result of their size. Against most teams, that works just fine and it will get them deep in the playoffs, it could even get them a title.

The problem is when they have to face teams like the Clippers, who are great on the perimeter. Those teams can spread the floor and create space to open up lanes. That makes it a lot tougher on the Lakers bigs.

Most teams can't play well enough from the perimeter to be able to beat the Lakers size 4/7. The Clippers not only can, but they would likely be the only team favored against the Lakers in a playoff series.

It's interesting. If they only get Collison (or someone like him) it will help them against every other team in the league, but less so against the Clippers.

But, if they only get Harkless (or someone like him), that will help them against the Clippers, but less so against all of the other teams.

Having said all of that, if they can only get one, I think it should be Collison. As others have said, it will help keep from having to play Lebron 40+ minutes in the playoffs.
