We were literally discussing Kobe on here when the news broke.

Other than being glad that such a great player was on the Lakers, I was never really a fan of his.

But I was a big fan of retired Kobe and the amazing things he did and was doing.

Dude retires from basketball and the first thing he does is win an Oscar. Seriously?!? Who does that?

Right? I was trying to convince Wamy Kobe was a better scorer than James.....and the news broke and it took the wind out of the sails in that debate.....

I'm still stunned over this news, like many. As a tribute should the Lakers name their court at Staples after Kobe? And I know naming a court is more of a CBB thing but the Celtics named their court after Red years ago.

Mamba is sadly gone. But he'll never be forgotten.

I'm sure once he got through his career, had his daughters...he felt the exact opposite of this, especially after he retired but really nothing he could have done, it was his time to go.

Not a wrestling fan, but I'm watching Monday Night Raw with my son. Tried watching some of Kobe's last game on ESPN. Not into it.

I managed to forget that was on somehow. Probably for the best.

Pilot should have known better...

Pilot should have trusted his instruments, not rely on his expertise...

Pilot was disoriented....

Safest chopper available...
