LOL, well what do you honestly see as a return for the Blazers if they were to offer say Whiteside, a first and two prospects. You think it gets anywhere the caliber of player of Love right now?

Teams aren't looking to shed cap space because there are no real key free agents this year. Teams aren't going to be lining up to clear max cap space for FVV or Montrez Harrell. Whiteside's expiring is worth less in this market than most other recent years.

Dame, CJ and Nurkic are all locked up to big money deals long term and they're in their prime. They won't have a ton of cap flexibility. Where do they improve? How do they improve.

That isn’t the point.

Love is closer to a bad contract than an asset at this point. He is unhappy, very few teams would be willing to take on his contract and Cleveland has little to no leverage here.

I do think Portland might be interested in Love. But quite honestly, Whiteside for Love could be mutually beneficial straight up. If Portland adds in a single heavily protected first, Cleveland would be lucky to get a better offer IMO.

They clear out long term money and move a disgruntled star with little trade value for an expiring contract. Win win.

The Process is so ingrained into me that I actually considered losing on purpose to OKC so that we might be able to get their 1st round pick with is protected #1-20. After last night, OKC is currently #18, roughly 3 games away from #21.
