I disagree. They need to keep CJ. Find a way to acquire K-Love without trading CJ or Nurk.

Imagine next year a starting lineup of Dame, CJ, Hood?, Love, and Nurk.

I would do whiteside, 1st round pick, and another player. Maybe Little or Simon ( i like him a lot)

Looking at the playoff races, there are 3 teams below .500 in playoff spots right now with 2 games separating 8th and 13th in the West.

Love would be an incredible fit no doubt. Just depends how bad the Cavs want to move them. The Blazers may have to throw Collins in that deal as well. Not sure that the Cavs would want another guard prospect back.

Not a huge fan of Collins, but cannot say I've seen him play that much.

Cannot be sure, but would think they'd want a #1 as well. He is far from elite these days but if they cleared the cap space it's not like elite players are coming here. Could they find someone better to play the 4 and/or 5 (if TT goes, too)? Not so sure they can.

I think Collins has a good amount of upside. He's still only 22 and in his 3rd year in the league. Feel like each time I see him play, he's getting better. Don't think he has star potential, but he could definitely be a solid plus starter.

You can't have a long career trying to jump over everyone.

Add in being 1 m&m, without the peanut, away from being fat and it's a recipe for disaster.

LOL, well what do you honestly see as a return for the Blazers if they were to offer say Whiteside, a first and two prospects. You think it gets anywhere the caliber of player of Love right now?

Teams aren't looking to shed cap space because there are no real key free agents this year. Teams aren't going to be lining up to clear max cap space for FVV or Montrez Harrell. Whiteside's expiring is worth less in this market than most other recent years.

Dame, CJ and Nurkic are all locked up to big money deals long term and they're in their prime. They won't have a ton of cap flexibility. Where do they improve? How do they improve.
