Chris Paul is a good player. The Rockets are going to regret blowing that team up.

I get the fit was not ideal with Harden, but nobody fits with Harden. The Rockets gave up a lot of assets to acquire a better player who is a worse fit. And the crazy thing is they very well might have been the best team in the NBA if they just stood pat.
But CP3 wanted out. Once a player makes that known, you gotta move him.

Not really.

he was on a toxic long term contract. You don’t have to move him.

He and Harden are both competitors who would have put their differences aside to win when the time came.

My point is that I do not believe the Rockets are legitimate contenders this year. I do think they would have been running it back with last year’s group.

They almost beat the KD Warriors with playoff Harden.

They were literally 1 win from beating an all time great team.

and not only do they no longer have the player most responsible for holding that team together they doubled down on selfish players.

And there is the misstatement about Harden, he can’t spell competitor.

Maybe not.

And I hate his brand of basketball.

But he is absolutely a competitor and he cares about winning. And for all the jokes about his defense, he has gotten a lot better there. And IMO, it was a lot to do with CP3 holding him accountable.

Uh, did you move to California recently?

Or perhaps became a Lakers fan?

I only ask because according to @HurricaneDij39 only Lakers fans and people from California don't like Harden.

lol oh it's only Lakers fans AND Californians in general, huh...?

guess he's broadening his scope to fit his narrative...

problem is he's at least EQUALLY caring about his own personal glory...

that'll always be a stumbling block for him until he changes his mindset...

Not much evidence of that in the time they were together

Uh.

the only team they lost to was the Warriors.

Granted, they needed an Iggy injury to make it possible, but CP3 lasts the rest of that series and they win the ship in 2018.

So yeah. Plenty of evidence.

Leave his defense aside for a moment... watching Harden off the ball on offense is why Houston is never gonna reach the promised land.

Seeming him stand stationary around 40 ft from the basket with one hand up calling for the ball makes me want to throw up in my mouth each and every time.

The modern NBA is so much about movement and team play... when push comes to shove, this is what a Harden-led team is always gonna lack.

Confused why Derrick Jones keep shooting 3's like he's any good at it.

You're a 23% shooter from 3 for a reason
Guessing left open for a reason, too.

Always liked Jeff Green, but were days I wanted him to stop shooting.
