Marcus Morris has turned into a really good role player. He is a good defender, an efficient scorer and most importantly he is tough.

He would be a great acquisition for any contender.

Now watch the Knicks hold him.
Looks like several guys have requested trades from the Knicks.

Morris isn't one of them. He wants to stay.

'I'm built for New York': Why Marcus Morris wants to stay with the Knicks

"Some guys are not built for New York. I’m built for New York. I’d rather be here and I’d rather help and I’d rather anchor it."

Not too surprised there.

He has been a role guy his entire career. Morris has been their best all around player this year. Losing takes its toll, but staying in NY will probably lead to a bigger next contract. He is a quality 2 way player averaging 18.6 a game.

We already know he can be a high quality rotation guy on a good team. Now he wants to show he can be more than that.

You ever yap with pastafazul? He's convinced all the Brickabockers issues were solved with the firing of Fizdale. Can't understand why players would want out. It's not like the owner's a dumbass. Oh wait a minute, he is a dumbass. But that's also Fizdale's fault.

Almost at the halfway point of the season. Being 23-8 feels good, man.

Fun game (again).
I imagine the law of averages will catch up with us, and we'll lose some of these, but until we do, I'm enjoying it.

Yeah, the way it's looking, expecting a low 50's win total doesn't seem out of the question and is likely with this team.

I agree and disagree at the same time if that is possible.

When you talk about who is going to win the award, that conversation starts and ends with a small number of names. Giannis, Harden and LeBron if he can stay healthy. Luka could force his way in the top 3 or 4 as could a a couple others like Kawhi or Embiid.

After that, Butler deserves mention for sure. But he just doesn’t have the stats to really be “in the conversation”. So I am not sure what that really means to say he is there.

Butler and Miami are having a great year. He deserves a ton of praise. But he is not REALLY in the MVP conversation. Because Harden is averaging almost 40 a game and the Bucks don’t seem to ever lose.

I'd have him in it because, as I said, it's about more than just stats. His impact on the Heat is undeniable. I don't think a guy has to average 40 a game, average a triple double, etc. to be in the conversation.

When I watch the Heat, I see a team that is solidly in playoff contention and a player in Butler who looks to be the main reason why (although Bam is helping).

Basically, he's the MVP of a team that is in solid playoff contention and, for me, that puts him in the conversation even though I don't think he'll win it.

I'm easily seduced by offense.

Question: Do you see Drummond getting traded?

His salary is too large for the Clippers.

Plus, we already sold them a lemon in Blake.

I really want the Clippers to get a rim protector or just another big.

I'm setting my sights much lower, on a guy like Dedmon, perhaps.

How about JaVale or Dwight for Pat Bev? :D
