My inlaws flew in from Cleveland today.
I took them to the game, and that is what I said to them.

Who actually thinks the Cavs have a lot of promise?

They promise to suck every year and live up to it.

With Fultz being a mental midget and Lonzo constantly being in bubble wrap, that Danny Ainge deal to draft him and get another pick, looks all the more like the heist that it was.

As for the Clippers.

Meh.

Those turnovers were ridiculous.

Kawhi has no lift on his shots and kept front rimming them.

BUT, great game saving block.

We were a few suspect calls in our favor from losing.

Always felt like Toronto/Detroit is an amazing rivalry always simmering in the background that we never get because one team sucks.

Really be nice for them to get their shit together in the next year or two.

With a healthy Hayward, yeah.

With the Clippers lack of chemistry, to this point, you'd beat us in a single game or a series.

Your team looks for real.

If you really think about it, your team is a younger version of the Clippers.

I'm not saying Tatum/Brown are as good as Kawhi/George.

But, they could be in a few years.

Both teams are strong at the wing spots.

Both teams have undersized, non defensive, walking buckets in Lou and Kemba.

Both teams have pests that you hate, that you can't understand their worth by looking at a stat sheet, Beverley and Smart.

Yet, both are worth every penny that they are paid.

We both could use a upgrade at center.

Would be a hoot to see you in the finals.

I don't know if you noticed. But, it sounded like a Celtics home game out there for several instances during the game.

What I'd also highlight is the biggest difference between these two teams: Kawhi.

Kawhi is the proven killer. He has "it"... the eye of the tiger... the ability to turn it on and win at the biggest times on the biggest stages.

The C's are very good with the potential for better... but they have got to prove it.

I'm loving this start to the season... and I'd love to see a Clippers/Celtics finals...
