But people have to admit they are a better defensive team than they thought. In fact, they're a lot better in general than a lot of people thought.

And admittedly, in defense of Mecca in a way, the Clippers have under performed more than people initially thought.

But we're only a dozen games in. Plenty will change come All-Star weekend.

Yeah, that's my concern. Through 12 games, they might be the best Lakers defense I've ever seen (when adjusted for today's game lol).

See, I don't know.

When I look at the ages of some of the guys and where they are ranked I think no way.

But when I watch the games, they don't look like they're expending the kind of energy that it should take to be ranked where they are.

They're playing really good team defense. So they're not having to chase all over the floor.

Vogel is supposed to be a defensive coach and he has some good experienced coaches on his staff...maybe they figured something out?

But, like you said earlier, we'll know a lot more after December.
