@Wamu i hope you feel REALLY good for what you did and enjoy those 30 tickets. Now Chase Young cant play just because you ratted him out.

Maybe... but that wasn't really my point...

I wasn't talking about Nance by himself there... I was talking if it was a choice between Baynes and a guy like Nance, Phoenix really needed a Baynes.

The overall context being that even if Baynes and Nance are similar in terms of stats, Baynes is the better NBA player...

... both are role players, but Baynes brings a team up... Nance isn't a bad player per se, but I don't think the same can be said about him.
Baynes has "brought one team up". This Phoenix team....and it's been for a whopping handful of games. You so sure they wont be as good or better when Ayton comes back?

Cs lost him and seem to be doing OK so far.

You really think numbers put up by Nance means nothing? I get it's not the end all, but it does matter that he was a better scorer and rebounder...also more athletic. And, yes, higher PER.

In fact I do and yours have been nothing short of absurd.

You did well that BB and Phillip are unlike in that one coaches bball, the other football, but the rest was a fail.

Simple no would suffice.

Because I never said Phil and BB were anything alike.

You clearly don’t know what an analogy is.

In fact, I do and showed you I knew....It is comparing unlike objects, or people in this case. And I even gave you a bravo in that BB and Phillip are not alike as they coach different sports.

Problem was you then tried to compare Phillip relying on Tex and BB relying on an OC. Huge difference there is Tex designed the entire offense and has always been with Phillip for his success. BB has had a number of OCs (and DCs) and BB designs their scheme. OCs and DCs come and go and they never miss a beat.

Massive fail for you......again.

sorry if a repeat....

Baynes "brings a team up"? Based on one stretch of 10 or so games? Does Boston really seem to be missing him all that much? You really think they suffer so much if they never had him and replaced him with one the many JAGs like him? You really think despite his ability to "bring them up" he doesn't lose a significant amt. of minutes when Ayton returns?

It's funny you want to completely dismiss the numbers each puts up. I get not the end all be all but scoring and rebounding does matter. And Nance is far more athletic. Never mind he even leads him in PER for their careers.

Baynes main value has always been his team defense and toughness.

Anyone with eyes to see should understand.
Yeah...he's so tough that at 6-10, 260 he cannot rebound as well as the 6-7, 230 lb. Nance. He also cannot defend as well.

And yet, what I said is true.

I would have no problem agreeing that Baynes is a bit of a riddle wrapped inside an enigma.

Dude just gets the job done.
what job does he get done? Part of the job for a big is getting that round thing after it is shot towards the basket. Even at his size he is not very good at accomplishing this. also nice if a big man can score some...not very good at that either.

Just let Skidmark blather on & on & on. He's still very upset that LeBron broke his heart for a second time. And always needs something to bitch about.

Baynes is obviously no superstar or even a starter. But he's been good enough to be in the league for 8 years.
anyone say differently? You thinking Baynes or the player in question here - Nance - has a longer career?

It wasn’t the people I was comparing numb-nuts.

It was the absurdity of the statements.

And I brought Belicek in because obviously nobody would suggest he isn’t a great coach. Just like nobody would suggest Kareem wasn’t a great player.

Just like no sane person would say Phil Jackson wasn’t a great coach.

Hence the analogy.

You are so lost in the Forrest you can’t see the trees.

You are right, no one would suggest BB was not a great coach. and of course no one would say this thinking it's because he doesn't call the plays. But Tex designed the entire offensive scheme and had been there throughout all of Phillip's success. OCs and DCs come and go with BB and he never skips a beat.....because the scheme is his.

Please read that until it sinks in and you realize - again - your analogy was absurd.

me - "you get Tex designed the offense, right?"
you (paraprasing) - "so because Belichick doesn't call the plays he's not a great coach?"

You failed.

Hello,

Anybody home?

There is not a legitimate reason in the universe to suggest Belicek isn’t a great coach.

Similarly, there isn’t a legitimate reason in the universe to suggest Phil wasn’t also great.

My Belicek comment was making fun of your logic in Phil Jackson. And you are too dense to comprehend that.

It does not matter who designed the triangle offense. The offense wasn’t what made the team successful.

Agreed the offense was not what made the team successful. also helped he had the best player in the game (often the 2 best) when he was winning titles. No best player, no title.

another fail by you.

Biggest joke by the NCAA was the tattoo scandal. So awful that, even though they knew what happened, they still let all the players take part in their BCS bowl game.......I'm sure it had nothing to do with their TV sponsors input.

LOL.

If they actually fire Fizdale, why would anyone take that job?

Taking a bad head coaching job is the best way to kill an NBA coaching career before it starts.
Phil Jackson, Don Nelson, and Isaiah Thomas are all available. D'antoni might be soon.

LOL.

When a coach without a prior NBA head resume takes a job like this, it is likely to be their last NBA head job.

Do you really have nothing better to do?

Dude won 11 titles in 20 years. Of those 20, how many years did he have the most talent? It wasn’t 20. It wasn’t 15. It probably was between 9 and 12.

I don’t need to break this down at all. I don’t have to prove a coach with 11 titles was great.
