Originally thought Love might be a nice piece but was pointed out Heyward playing a lot of the 4.
Yeah, I agree... the 'Love to Boston' ship has sailed.

TT? Maybe we can work something out and send it to Ainge/Kobe?
Somewhat interesting... the C's braintrust would need to feel they are one piece away from a good shot at a title... and they would need to believe that TT is that piece.

I doubt the C's would give up any significant player asset, though... would the Cav's only be interested in draft pick(s) and throwaway-type players?

Any could the salary element possibly work?... (I haven't looked into it)

Family puts a lot of us in cities we wouldn't normally choose. How many would actually choose high taxes AND winter like we have here in NY? I still think we should call NYC it's own state and let it fend for itself, tax-wise lol.
And NYC is a place I have been......I think I'd prefer a minimum security prison to living there for a year.

Speaking of family that's why I'm in CO. right now. Didn't want to leave the Vegas area. But my wife wanted to be closer to he folks.

Never been to NYC. But I'd like to visit someday. I've been to that state once. Went to a Cuse game at the Carrier Dome back in the early 90's.

Next season, when the Nets and the Pacers will be added to make it seven contenders for the East, the entire West will look awful... It will basically be a Zoroland contest for who will survive and get humiliated by an East team (the Bucks of course) in the finals...
I do agree with you that the Nets and Pacers will both take significant steps next year with the returns of Oladipo and Durant.

But to me, i think both conferences are fairly even at this point- with a slight advantage to the West.

1. Clippers
2. Lakers
3. Jazz
4. Rockets

these are 4 teams that are very good

In the East- currently, I only see 2-3 teams that are very good

1. Bucks
2. Sixers
3. Celtics

Toronto has been impressive but its very early, in my opinion, to call them a legit contender after hte loss of leonard even with the rise of Siakam. I think the Heat are over-rated (big surprise). The Pacers without Dipo and the Nets without Durant are both solid but not nearly as good as those top 4 western teams---- much more on the level- and really- still probasbly worse than teams like the Nuggets and Blazers.

I think Cs would also have to be convinced he would stay (and they'd want him to stay) beyond the season. Before the season I might have said throwaway players and picks, but if he keeps playing like he has I would think it might take at least 1 real player they can use for their future.

Looking at roster not sure it could get done. Really only player I could see Cavs taking AND the Cs willing to give up is Kanter (as they'll need another big) and he's not close to TTs salary.

Not buying Toronto yet as wins against NO, Chicago, Orlando, Sac and Detroit. Not buying Miami as a Finals contender but look better than I thought.

It's not easy to keep everyone's rooting interest straight here, and most will actually display their rooting interest which helps. You always take offense to any Cavs connection, could make it easier on yourself lol.

It's not taking offense. It's being fed up with explaining way too many times who I root for & why. I've explained dozens of times I root for the Celtics because they're my fathers team. He took me to my first game at the original Garden during the '81-'82 season.

NYC is a fun city, but I sure as fuck wouldn't wanna live there...

but hey, it's one of those places you have to visit to strike it off your bucket list...

Probably some who ask hoping to call you a frontrunner, but also some who just might be genuinely curious.

If everyone asked why I like OSU wouldn't bother me to tell them "because I graduated from OSU" and if I didn't I'd say because I used to watch them with my bro.

Your explanation not enough for someone? who cares?

Toronto is better than you think... They are basically the same team as last season, but with Anunoby (who they didn't have during the last postseason) replacing Kwahi... Of course Anunoby isn't Leonard, but the Raptors have Siakam stepping up to be an All Star level player and Van Vleet also taking the next step and of course, Anunoby is progressing fast game by the game...

They also have one of the best coaching teams in the world with Sergio Scariolo (winner of the World cup with Spain) and Nurse.

It will therefore all come down on how far Anunoby, Van Vleet and Siakam will progress further later in the season in order to make up for Leonard's loss... don't underestimate them!

The Heat OTOH, have added Butler and have a top coaching support from Po... Other than having Adebayo taking a significant step further ahead, they also have deep and young talent in their roster, but they are expected to strengthen up further by the trade deadline too... Don't underestimate them either, they will "eat" some West "contenders" for breakfast!

It's five teams in the East currently that can beat any out of the Lakers, Clippers or Heat in a postseason series for the title.

It's a bummer Bucky has me on ignore. Because I'd like to know which 5 teams he thinks could beat the Lakers/Clippers/Jazz in the Finals.
He's listed them over and over. I believe it's Bucks, Sixers, Heat, Celtics, and Raptors
