Minnesota is beating the bad teams and losing to good teams; meh. Atlanta is 2-3 with wins over the Pistons and Magic; meh.

That said, the Heat's wins over the Bucks and now the Rockets are solid. Nuggets/Suns/Lakers the next 3 games are a nice stretch to establish themselves even more.

Beating the bad teams and beating some good teams is the way you make the playoffs. You do know this right?

My predictions through 7-8 games...a lot can change like injuries and more

EAST
1. Sixers
2. Bucks
3. Heat
4. Celtics
5. Raptors
6-8. A shitshow - I could see 5-6 competing for these spots

WEST
1. Lakers
2. Clippers
3. Nuggets
4. Mavericks
5. Spurs
6. Jazz
7. Suns
8. Rockets

Atlanta and Minnesota have each spent most of the last week without their best player, since I posted that comment.

All part of the game. Atlanta also just lost Collins for 25 games for drugs.

What do you not get? My original post was about not being impressed. Beating the Wolves and Hawks does not impress me in the least. Beating the Bucks and Rockets? Now we're talking.

So maybe Atlanta is still a year away from being a playoff team.

Still doesn’t change that they have an exciting young core capable of competing with most teams when they have all their guys.

Didn't I say something to that effect already? They are on the right track, but will take more time (and roster development).

What impress you? Beating the lakers. Nothing else seems to impress you. Heat beat the bucks without jimmy and others after being down 21 and just destroyed Houston....and all you said is it was solid wins

What more do you want me to say about them beating the Bucks and Rockets? They were solid regular season wins and certainly help to prove their standing. The Nets also beat the Rockets. Does that vault them up in terms of respect? All things in time and consistency.

In the Knicks still... thread he said mentioning the Raptors finished # 2 in total D during the regular season & # 1 during the playoffs last year was a bad argument because Kawhi & Green are no longer there. That made me laugh.

Known quantity college guy from a big time program over unknown foreign high school kid. Easy choice, I guess.

Back then, yeah.

Now?

Fireable offense.

Scouting, domestic and internationally, has improved.

If not after the Dirk fiasco, most certainly after Giannis went 15th.

Yet, it's still happening.

I like Ayton and Trae.

But, Luka is special.

Could you imagine Luka next to Booker instead of Rubio?

Bruh.
