Kawhi is a lot closer to Kobe than Pippen, IMO.

And I do think Pippen is historically underrated by many.

But he gets another championship in a 3rd city and he is climbing his way into the top 10.

He won’t ever approach LeBron, Magic, Kareem or MJ without the MVPs, but he doing his part to create a conversation.

His game?

He doesn't play like Kobe.

Well, maybe against the Spurs when he was forcing shots left and right.

Kawhi's pace kind of reminds me a more athletic Paul Pierce. They're both methodical and they play at a speed that's always in control for them. Both have a good inside and outside game. Obviously the separating factor is that Kawhi is on another level defensively.

But that's the first Kawhi comparison that comes to mind.

But when he is your second best player, you are in big trouble.

I didn't think he was.....I thought Beal, IT, Hachsakamura, and Bertrans were all better.

I'm almost afraid to say anything for fear of jinxing it, but I'm really surprised at how well he has been playing. He looks leaner and like he's happy in his role.

Hopefully it continues. If it does, the Lakers will be in great shape for the season.

Yeah, Kawhi is interesting to watch. He plays at his own pace. It's not fast, but somehow he manages to get where he wants to be on the floor.

Sometimes it looks like he's playing a different game than everyone else.

Don't get too excited. The Clips don't have PG yet and this is an older team. A couple of injuries and they could be in real trouble. They also need to add at least one more good bench player. Right now, they have 8 guys that I would trust. They need at least one more to be able to have a shot at handling the Clips depth.

Baker got too much hype this offseason. He just hasn’t done enough to deserve it yet.

That said, I place more blame on Kitchens.

Feed Chubb early and often and don’t stop if you get behind. Get Odell 3-4 touches a game on bubble screens and jet sweeps, but also target him deep down the field at least 2-4 times a game. Even if he is covered, give him the occasional 40 yard jump ball because he will catch his share and defenses will have to account for it.

He is an elite deep threat. And opposing defenses don’t really have to honor that threat right now. His only TD of the season came from a 80 yard run on a 10 yard slant. That is awful.

Ohh absolutely but when you are QB of a team that is getting a ton of hype (for whatever reason) that is expected. Of course being the #1 pick to a team that hasn't won in forever adds to that as well. I thought the hype was a bit excessive so I'm sure some people are eating it up.

I agree, Kitchens deserve more blame, even though I can clearly see normal throws Baker was making last year --he isn't making this year. Whether it is chemistry or mechanics something is off.
