Heat not playing for another week and my comment wasn't team specific. Unless these players plan on all never playing basketball again, this is a stupid decision. This boycott wont change anything except for hurt the nba in the long run especially if it leads to the season getting canceled

Meh....I'm sure the commissioner and the board of governors have considered all options and are totally okay with how this is unfolding and will align with the players and the union.

Just watched Kendrick Perkins on ESPN say he is worried for his kids because they go to schools "which are 90% white"... he said he has to teach them how they aren't safe.

lol... sounds like Perk is living in a nice, cozy bubble... if his kids have to live in fear, ain't no one safe nowhere.

Eh...it's a set of games on a day. But yes if they do go full on cancel they'll lose half their fan base.

Said it to my wife today. I understand and support much of the message. But you lose a lot of the fringe people by not even spending a second on inner city violence. Take even a quarter of that energy and put some there.

If it leads to the season being canceled...I agree that it will hurt in the long run.

But a 1 game boycott? As others have pointed out, there are an awful lot of people talking about it.

My guess/hope is that Bucks players were pretty upset since it was in their state and decided to boycott today and the other teams followed suit in support of them.

The NBA and it's players have always managed to work together on getting messages out that work for both the players causes and the league.

My bet is that they will do so in this case as well.

Yeah, I've been neglecting my Dodgers because of the NBA playoffs and they went and lost last night.
