2019-2020 Official Regular Season Thread

If this same thing were happening over the last 8 regular season games without the bubble...no one would be freaking out over this.

Outside of trying to get 2 new players up to speed, they aren't really doing anything any differently than they would be anyway.

They'd still be limiting Lebron and AD's minutes. They'd still be giving the bench guys more minutes. The only difference might be that they would be having Lebron and AD skip a couple more games than it looks like they're going to.

Obviously, I'd like to see them playing better, but it's not anything I'm going to worry about too much.

Any chance in hell the Lakers limit LAbron & AD's minutes in the playoffs? I didn't think so. Dammit.

Don't know. And for some reason don't care. But I hope he sits. That will give the real CP3 a chance to shine on the hardwood.

Totally agree.

This season is different than any before though.

Not as far as how they prepare for the playoffs. At least that's how the Lakers and really, the top 3 or 4 teams seem to be handling it.

In a blowout maybe. I expect Lebron and AD will be playing 42-45 minutes per game in the playoffs. That's always been there only chance.

The role players and bench, at least before the bubble, were definitely playing better than anyone expected. But, no matter how well they were playing, this team was always going to need that many minutes from them in the playoffs for them to have a chance at a title.

If I was a fan of theirs (what a disgusting thought) I'd be concerned about how they've played in this retstart. Saw the numbers during one of their games. Since the return they've been last or close to last in some important categories. But I'm not betting against LeBron and AD.

They have nothing really to play for right now. Lebron and AD aren't playing the minutes that they will in the playoffs. Lebron even sat out a game that he wouldn't have in the playoffs.

Jared Dudley, Talen Horton-Tucker and a couple of other guys have probably played more minutes in the bubble than they did in the previous 65 games combined.

The one thing I am a bit concerned about is AD's play. It's been wildly inconsistent in the bubble.

He's also all but disappeared in the 4th quarter in every game against the Clippers, even the 2 the Lakers won. That should never happen because the Clippers don't have anyone who can guard him.

I still wouldn't. If I had to put one in my lineup, it would be AD. He might be wanting to redeem himself a little because his last 2 games have been pretty bad.

Lebron will put up a stat line, he almost can't help it, but he'd just be playing to stay loose.

Barring anything happening to the other guys I have in I doubt I'd put either in. Hell, even when AD plays he's the king of either being a late scratch or leaving during the game.

You should hope for spurs or Grizzlies. Blazers and the red hot suns is a more competitive series imo
