But, watching all of the UFC events over the last 2 months shows that after awhile, no crowd becomes the new normal.

I was watching the Poirier/Hooker UFC card with my son last night. In the co-main event Mike Perry vs. Mickey Gall. Mike Perry didn't have any trainers in his corner. He just had his girlfriend and a cut man.

We were talking about that fight after it was over and he made a really good point.

Because he didn't have to listen to the instructions from his corner, he could listen to what Gall's corner was telling him and just counter that.

Said he didn't know if that's why he did it, but if he did (or figured it out after the fight started), it was smart.
