The funny thing is that's actually a good thing long term for them. Not that they likely have a long term

I get what you are saying in theory,

but the Kings were a long shot for the playoffs anyway. Now they will be a minimum 2 weeks behind other teams in prepping to return because the guys who are currently sick can’t be working out.

So what exactly is the point of the Kings showing up at the Orlando bubble at this point? Don’t be surprised if the entire team now opts against doing this in light of these tests.

Most importantly the players should be good to go when the teams head to Orlando in about 2 weeks

If they do they do

I'd be surprised though

Would be poetic justice either way.

Personally though, I will be a bit surprised if he is on the court in those big moments. He has been out of the game for awhile now.

It's been almost an offseason for everyone at this point. That may be an equalizer, but going to a new team/system will have him behind anyway.

Maybe. If he can still shoot and it's a situation where the Lakers need points, I could see him being in the game depending on how other guys are doing.

In all honesty though, I'll be surprised if he has much impact one way or the other.

Possible.

I think he will have opportunities to produce in spots. Maybe he will exceed expectations. One thing is for sure and that is that you don’t forget how to shoot.

But I think, if JR is earning a large role anything close to what he had in Cleveland, or even like a consistent 20 minutes of court time, that is a really bad sign for the Lakers.

I agree. I could see him possibly having some impact here and there in a situational capacity. Like you said, you don't forget how to shoot.

But if it's more than that, something else has likely gone wrong.

If used correctly, he can be a factor in a limited role.

Throw him in there for 5-6 minutes in the first half. If he has it going well and he is hitting shots, he gets more time. Maybe even plays 20-25 minutes.

But if he goes 0-3?

Then maybe we don’t need to see JR in the 2nd half.

Melo did okay after being out of the game.

Jr. Should be fine.

What did the Mavs give up for Cauley-Stein?

His girl is in her ninth month of pregnancy, so I get it.

But, that's gotta sting considering he was only on a 1 year deal.

ETA: Nope. He has a player option.
