He is a shadow of that player obviously. But he can still score and he is prone to catch fire at times.

sadly, I think he’s just as happy sitting in the stands or getting a little exercise on the ice. Still making his $7MM or whatever. I just don’t see any competitive fire in his eyes when they zoom in on him chewing that green mouthpiece. Just an observation.

For a playoff game with that sort of intensity, the Niskanen crosscheck to Gallagher was just another hockey play. The difference is that Gallagher is so damn short and he turns his head very quickly, right into the oncoming stick of Niskanen.

Nobody wants anyone to be injured and miss time, but it couldn't happen to a nicer fucking guy.

Sometimes when you play with fire, you get burnt.

I think I read on twitter that AV said 'Niskanen would be replaced by committee" or something to that effect. If I were AV, i'd have Ghost pair with Provy in the neutral/o-zone starts, and probably Braun or Hagg for d-zone starts. Keep Sanheim/Myers together for the most part.

For shifts that start on the fly, I think you just have to go by feel I guess. And maybe who's on the ice for the Habs, or who's likely to be on the ice next for them.

Something just doesn't look right about this team. Why are they having a difficult time vs a team that shouldn't even made the playoffs if the season played out normal. It just feels like this series may go 7. Just not feeling good about something? Can't point out why it feels like this to me.

We simply can't match Montreal's speed. One thing that really has me frustrated is the lack of toughness and physical play. I wish we had that Lucic type of guy on this team or a dman who keeps the opposing player from contacting our goaltender.

100%, Hockey is one of those sports you have to stand up even if you lose. Let the team know their going get punched in the mouth.
