Looks like Niskanin faces a disciplinary hearing over the hit on Gallagher. I think he may get a game and a fine.
Man he's having a terrific season and playoffs. Wonder what he would've done here.LOL. I wish. Would've been a steal.
Ended up being a similar deal in the end, just Barrie instead of Ghost.
Agree, he got lit up and then got pissed. Should of had that chip from the puck drop. They need a statement game in a big way, IMO. Especially going into the next round.Looks like Niskanin faces a disciplinary hearing over the hit on Gallagher. I think he may get a game and a fine.
Despite the final outcome, this was easily the most exciting game of the series. No panic for me. Montreal threw everything but the kitchen sink at us, Price was a little better than Hart and they narrowly escaped with a win.
I felt like this thing was destined to go to overtime right up until Justin Braun's blown coverage just after our game-tying 3rd goal.
Our power play came to life. We should've had three goals during the five minute major alone. Guys like Hayes, Couturier and Konecny are right on the cusp of scoring goals. Giroux is definitely due for one as well, at least.
We continue to dominate in faceoffs, which should give us a big edge in time of possession and set plays.
It's time to ramp up our intensity another notch and finish them off.
I am hoping a nice chippy game like last night reminds some of the vets what playoff hockey is supposed to be. The first 4 games were sleepy affairs. Add that to having no fans there and being a heavy favorite, it's difficult to draw energy. I think last night wakes them up and we see the return of Flyers playoff hockey.
To be fair Thompson threw the puck behind his own net right to druin he should have just sat on it in the corner. Before the D knew what happened they were out of position. I put that on Thompson more than Braun or Hagg. How are these guys supposed to know that their teammate is going to give it away in a split second? Otherwise Thompson has been good.Despite the final outcome, this was easily the most exciting game of the series. No panic for me. (PS: You think that little bitch Gallagher tried to look like a drag queen wearing dark red lipstick!?)
Nisky out tonight.
Thats some BS.

The BS part is not Niskys suspension but there was no suspension for Kotkaniemi.Nah. That was the right decision. He broke a dude’s jaw with his stick work to the face. That’s a suspension.
Not sad about this. Im not going to lie.Not sure anyone mentioned it, but Gallagher is out for the series.

He left his feet for that hit as his skates weren't far off the ice but were off the ice. Secondly why does Sanheim get punished for being tough. He could have a concussion but not saying anything. Why? He didn’t leave his feet. Personally, I think that was a double minor but was excited they gave him a major and a game misconduct. I don’t think that warranted further action. Sandheim didn’t even miss a shift and was out there with PP2 on the major.
