You really think JvR is going to just sit on the 4th line for the rest of the season!? Lol

He's going to get his confidence riding high while there, then he's going to start producing on the power play too and will almost certainly be bumped up to a true scoring line in short order...

I think Raffl's injury pushes Laughton down to the 4th line and JvR up to the 3rd line. Honestly, it's not my favorite solution. I think Laughton is a better fit with Hayes/Farabee than JvR is, particularly the way they're playing right now.

But I think you have to move Laughton down to the 4th line to ensure it's a viable option still. JvR-Pitlick-Stewart/callup, isn't a line you can give any meaningful minutes. They'd get slaughtered. They need Laughton there.

JVR Vorobyev Pitlick would be just fine as is. no need to shake up the lines now.

If Hakstol was still the coach I would agree, but AV has shown different IMO.

Plus a second and a third rounder.

The Predators will receive defenseman Steven Santini, prospect Jeremy Davies, the No. 34 pick in this year's draft, and a 2020 second-round pick in exchange.

So which trade is less bad ?

That and we're 2-0 against them, 15 points clear of them in the standings and have only played 34% of the season to date.

Pitlick drives play a lot on his own. He's a big part of our depth right now, as are guys like Laughton, Farabee and Frost in their own unique ways. I like Raffl, but I'm not too worried about losing him for a month and, as we've discussed, he could come back as an even better skater. This obviously helps us later on in the season and postseason.

It depends on which players turn out to be better of the picks/traded players. Also just because The Devils made a possibly worse trade doesn't mean that Braun wasn't a terrible trade.

Side note: I played with Steve Santinis father every second year from mites through Juniors. He was a pretty good player himself.

You know as well as i do by watching games that Braun has very little to do with us being 5th so this theory isnt the strongest.

There was just waaaay too much love going on around here.... wanted to stir the pot.

... and my Boilers avenged their elite 8 loss to Virginia. Sadly, this will likely be the highlight of Purdue's year.

I watched some of that game and they played great on their home court, fans were going nuts.

We are winning and life is good when the Flyers win. i feel to good these days to add to a stirred pot. :suds:
