Also, not trying to defend anyone last night. They ALL sucked. Every single one of them. Just agreeing with the fact that Stewart should not be skating against Crosby and probably should not be in the lineup at all.
Yea he brings nothing, a fight every now and then is not worth the roster spot.

Im just glad Braun is bringing that veteran leadership to these young kids and it was totally worth it to trade a second and third round pick for him.
To be honest he wasn't the only one out there playing like shit and if you think so then I'm not sure what to say? He also hasn't been as bad as you make him out so far in the season. Last night I don't give anyone a pass except maybe the goalies as they had no chance. The forwards did absolutely zilch to help out defensively too even when they did come back they covered no one left guys open in the slot!

IMHO there were a lot of similarities in the Islanders and Pens games.... I'm not talking about the "what" -- they were humiliated in the score and eye test, but the "why". Rapid break outs by the opposition and the defense + goalie left hung out to dry with forwards woefully out of position and NO HELP on the D. So is this a fatal flaw (our players can't compete against these teams), or is it a system, or as AV calls it a process flaw ? I do not have the hockey knowledge to be able to tell the difference.

Any update on Patrick?
This is from October 21st.
Patrick (head) joined the team for the end of Monday's morning skate and wore a non-contact jersey, Adam Kimelman of NHL.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Patrick also sported a tinted visor as he recovers from a migraine disorder. It's a good sign that he's back on the ice, but Patrick will need to shed the non-contact sweater before he gets back into a game. Although Patrick only had 61 points over his first two years in the league, the Flyers could use a spark after posting just seven goals over the last four games.

Flyers coach Alain Vigneault sent a message to Claude Giroux and Jake Voracek, and it was a long time coming | Mike Sielski

Nice to see when a coach asks a guy to do more, he just sits at his locker and laughs. I mean for everyone who has defended the culture here, this is prime example of the nonsense that has been going on for years. No one is liable for their play, the only people held accountable are the coaches. Yet the same results happen every year. Move jake, put an A on Giroux's jersey or move him, let's get the turnover started I can't watch another season of the same thing.

This article just makes me think AV was not a good hire here. Sure you can call Jake out but the only thing G hasn't done this season is score. He plays on the PK, PP, and should be playing on a line with TK and Coots. Until I hear him call JVR out or our Dmen he can't be taken seriously as a coach. The fact that Yeo has been a failure as a coach probably doesn't help the culture there.

My feeling is that he is calling out the leadership of the team compared to the play.

I agree, but G has been the least of our problems this season. He called out Jake and I think Jake has responded so why keep singling him out. I don't see Ghost, Sanhiem, or any Dman on his list of call outs. Seems to me a good recipe for a locker room split.

I know its early but we have had 4 coaches with this group and have the same results. Ive been saying this for years as the coaches have piled up. Two of those coaches went on to Stanley cups with other teams.

Its early like i said but the same results seem likely again this year. Ill wait until Thanksgiving to see how this season unfolds.

Ive heard all the excuses over the past 7 years Oh its the defense or the goalie or the bottom six or the GM or the assistant coaches which we have changed several times over the years and have gotten the same results.

Hopefully we get different results this season.

I understand what you're saying, but I don't see this being G's fault, the guy is no defensive juggernaut, but he's been hella productive last 2 seasons. Jake was called out already, I'm cool with that, he seem to respond IMO. I'm just saying when does JVR get called out? Or any of our over rated crappy Dmen? Also we have shitty role players on this team, fucking bring up Frost, Myers, and anyone else and let them sink or swim. Teams don it all the time these days.

I have wasted too many posts on this to keep doing it and Awaz is usually on the other end. We aren't winning anything with Gee being our best player. He needs to be a teams 2nd or third best player in order for us to be a threat.

Lol I agree, and this org has failed miserably in building around the talent we had so here we are. Oh well back to a new three year plan.:suds:
