Ghost and Hagg two of our young defenseman that are part of our future so they are not blocking Myers development. Braun however is not part of our future so he is the one blocking Myers development.

Myers in LV :4 games 3 assists plus 7

I do remember how bad our PK was last year and that it is better this season but the credit for that goes to Hayes and the willingness by AV to use a solid defensive player like Raffl on the PK.
You have to remember that players can still develope in the AHL as he's getting a ton of ice time and opportunities. If he were up his ice would most likely be cut. When there's an opportunity he'll be ready we all know you can't have too many dmen.

Sure Hayes and others have helped the PK but so have the dmen especially the new vets. Just cuz you have a hate on for someone doesn't mean that they aren't doing something well. Who knows maybe the young guys play will allow them to trade one of the vets but I'm guessing that they don't want to rush them.

Wow what a last ten minutes too bad JVR is crap, Hayes bad signing and Jake is done for. Oh yeah trade G as well...haha! Honestly when the Flyers are rolling they are impressive.

Now if they could learn how to roll against contenders they may get impressive.

And when they're not, they're really not haha. That Isles game was definitely a clunker. Unfortunately Hart might've set them up for failure in that one. I hope AV goes right back to him tomorrow though. Give him an opportunity to bounce back.

Not going to get too worked up over losing on a back to back / 3rd in 4 situation when the Isles had the previous night off (though it was 3rd in 4 for them also).

Isles rolling. Barry Trotz is a wizard behind the bench.

We didn't exactly have a smooth game vs Columbus either. We were down 4-2 with 10 minutes to go

We played poorly in both efforts, we got lucky Columbus had the same mental breakdown in the 3rd as we had in the first 2. I'll take it though.

Ill take it also but according to some on here we are a legit contender because we played a great 10 minutes against a shitty Columbus team :pound::pound::pound:

It's ridiculous. Idk how they continue to win with just an average roster on paper, if not worse. Cizikas was 3rd in goal scoring for them last season with 20. That'd be like Laughton netting maybe 22 for us...Lol

A lot of their veterans are older than ours and also not as good. They have one true star in Barzal, one or two average playmakers, one or two guys who can score, several who were decent many years ago, a bunch of roleplayers and some young guys who have done nothing yet.

I'm hopeful we can put these 10 minute spurts together for a full 60 soon. Then we may be scary.

Now they have to win the next 3 to get to my 4 out of next 5 prediction.

If other teams employ the same defensive scheme as the Islanders did last night, we are in for a rough ride. I don't know if Trotz is really good at scouting and implementing tweaks in his system to thwart opponents or we just matched up poorly against his skaters. I lost count of the number of whiffs at the puck our guys had last night. Ghost definitely led the way. My eyes are not fast enough to know if it was getting their sticks lifted, or just frustration and taking eye off of the puck, but there was something going on last night that seemed quite a bit off.

I work with a real dick of a Pens fan (probably doesn't narrow down the number of Pens fans very much), but it is necessary to beat Crysby and company tomorrow.

I'd like to see Hart go again, but can he take another beating right now lol.

I thought they played fine/well in the Columbus game, goaltending just let them down. Then they took it up another notch in the 3rd to get Elliot the win.

Didn't have it in them to do that two nights in a row I guess.

Pssst, our defense is soft, Other teams know and exploit this.

We have been waiting for years for this team to play a full 60 minutes. Hopefully by Christmas they can get that going.
