I think Elliott had a lot to do with keeping the game scoreless through 2 periods.
6 different scorers.
Expected goals turned into actual goals.
G and JVR still don't have goals.
Playing well at home.

While it feels like we have more skill across all the lines, I just think it's how they are being deployed.
Coaching/system have made a difference and we shouldn't expect them to grasp everything right away.
The potential and the advanced metrics are there.
We can still add Frost and Patrick to the lineup.

Very hopeful.

Here's the bitching about last night... Elliott doesn't stand on his head, and we're down two goals... Fleury likely stops 2 of the goals for us. It was a wide open game.

Here's the hooray.... there was a lot of speed and energy last night. Although he didn't score, I thought I saw Giroux flying all over the ice.. including on D, digging pucks out of the sideboards. Overall, passing was crisp, which is why they were so fast. Vegas is a quality team, and it was a good overall win.

A 6-2 win against the best team they've played this season is a solid outing! Really needed one to stop the losing streak.

That's who Braun replaced so of course I'm going to compare the two. Gudas was traded for niskanen so makes sense to me to compare them. Now you can say one of the youngsters would be in Brauns role but I'm pretty confident things would be worse as those guys are still learning.

AMac is NOT who Braun replaced so you can stop that comparison immediately. Braun is replacing and blocking the development of Myers. To think it only cost us a 2nd and 3rd round pick to block the development of a young defenseman coming off the Canadian world cup team.

Excellent game last night by everyone on the ice. It was a nice home victory and we need more of what happened last night and less of what happened against Dallas. Im hoping it was our play against Vegas that got us the win and not that Vegas took us lightly after losing to Dallas and playing a back up goalie.
