UW has all of theirs locked in. Ducks are still looking like 7 not signed? :noidea: Couple of those are solid 4* kids with one that had their verbal way back in April.

We will see how that plays out.

Well they were in "damage control" as soon as Willie's name was mentioned for the FSU job.
The plus side for them they have now until February to clean up the scraps, with Jim staying there as DC he could talk anyone to come play for his defense....

Caleb Tremblay (6-5 275 4* JUCO DT) would be a huge addition. 247 has him either going to Bama or USC, but considering the fact that Vita Vea and possibly Greg Gaines may be leaving, someone with his experience would be a huge addition.

Feels kind of weird to largely have your next class signed before you even reach your bowl game. Like there is pretty much nothing else to look forward to after the bowl until spring camp opens.

Yeah but they still have a "late" run on signing as well...You never know with kids change their minds pretty quick it could take some kid to get put off by another school and the next thing you know bam he's signing with UW

I'm just happy that we went 18/18 and signed a great class.

Off the top of my head I believe this is the best class Petersen has signed, and better than any of the classes Sark and Willingham brought in.

Coach Pete has always been great at coaching up average talent, now he's getting the physical talent necessary to compete for national championships. Bama is known for churning out first round linebackers and they really wanted Brandon Kaho. I was under the impression he was definitely going to stick with BYU because he's a mormon.

Washington football just picked up one of the nation’s most talented receivers in the 2018 class

According to 247, Spiker is the 12th best player to sign with Washington in the modern era and the 2nd best player to sign during the Chris Petersen era.

We've got some really good WRs coming in, I could see Spiker getting playing time his freshman year.

Although we lose Pettis, we have some great weapons coming in and Hunter Bryant will have another offseason under his belt + Chico McClatcher coming back.

They are starting to get to a point where they can red shirt more, but there for sure are a few that will play right away and at least a couple of those WR's will for sure. They have some talent at WR left, but lack a lot of experience and a couple of them are just too good to wait on.

I've been saying it since October, these aren't your standard of UW wide outs, these are NFL pro type wide outs. If they build upper their upper bodies holly hell watch out!

Over all I really think they hit this out of the park with this class!
People can bitch all they want about this early signing process, but it really does help the schools.
Man this staff is not messing around, god I love this program!

And they landed it with all of those offensive pieces and QB's while their OC had left. Landing and holding a class with staff uncertainty is huge. At least in terms of finishing their class bringing Hamdan back has worked out well. I'm sure some of those offensive recruits have read up and/or spoken to kids in the program now and felt some of their excitement on that hire.

Having coach K and Lake as rocks on defense also cannot be understated in terms of bringing in the studs on that side of the ball.

Can anyone think of a CB the school has ever had that was higher ranked than Gordon? Certainly not in the last few decades unless I'm just mentally missing a big one or one that came in high and was a bust.

Trufant, Jones, and Peters were all 3 star recruits.

Gordon is a 4 star recruit with a grade score of 0.9271 and an overall national rank (all recruits) of 180. 20th in position.

For comparison:
Sidney Jones 3* 0.8355 National Rank 1107 and 94th in position.
Desmond Trufant 3* 0.8528 NR 877 and 69th CB
Kevin King 3* 0.8628 NR 571 and 43rd CB
Marcus Peters 3* 0.8634 NR 489 and 49th CB

So at least from that list Gordon is miles and miles ahead of where they were at the time of recruiting in terms of national perception.

I mean obviously he's not the top DB ever, hell Baker was well ahead of him, but from just CB I can't find any in his range.
