I think Tkachuk goes 2nd or 3rd. There are rumblings out of Carolina (by their owner I believe) that they lacked "toughness" and that is always a sore spot for the Habs. Plus in some publications Tkachuk is listed as a center. Bergevin likely hasn't watched him pay so he'll bite on that.

At least I hope it plays out that way. If not I'd like to see Ottawa trade down to around 8-10 and take Kotkaniemi. IMO, he'll end up being every bit as good a player as Tkachuk. Or better.

The Sabres are looking at some solid building blocks now. Eichel and Dahlin is the foundation for a core that is pretty much the envy of every team in the league. Couldn't pooch it up now, could they?

Dahlin and Ristolainen for 25 minutes a night could be a future Keith/Seabrook defense duo.

Worst part is they aren't even trying to tank. They are just that bad. And will be worse for the next 2 to 3 years. This franchise is perennial failure at every level

You just need to sign some veteran D man to lead the way.

Dahlin/Risto is a great future pairing for sure. Could really become 1 of the top d pairings in the league.
