Well then if Kawhi really wants to play for the Lakers, then the Lakers can just sit back and wait for him until the 2019-2020 season. :noidea:
yah but we have seen how that has turned out with guys like Love and George.

If you could trade Lonzo Ball right now for Paul George you would. That was a deal that couldve happened a couple years ago.

I agree that there is a good chance Kawhi will sign next offseason, but at the same time- if he goes to a team like Philly, that say makes the Finals- (and if they had Embiid, Simmons and Kawhi i think they WOULD make the Finals)--- would Kawhi turn down less money to walk away fromthat to go to LA? your guess is as good as mine

Good point, but what else can the Lakers do, except give up most of the young players for a player that may not sign an extention anyway. Besides isn't Kawhi
injury prone?

He averaged 66 games per season.....before last season when he played just 9.

Who would have thought LeBron would leave the Cavs where he is almost assured of getting to another Finals in 2019? Or at the very leat another ECF to go to the Lakers where he may not even make the playoffs......or get bumped out in the 1st round?

"The Lakers are heard to be offering only one-year deals to maximize their cap space for the summer of 2019."

If we don't get Leonard in a trade, we'll try to sign him or another FA next summer in a deeper FA class.

Los Angeles is now the epicenter of sports in the US:
NBA - LeBron's Lakers
MLB - Dodgers just went to WS
NFL - Rams=SB contenders

The Lakers need to bring back Jordan Hill on a vet minimum contract.

Extra big man.

Yeah but that is one more more year Lebron gets older. He will be close to 35 next summer. Just seems like a wasted season even though it might not to Laker fans

He spends millions on his body.....if there's a guy I think can play another 2, maybe 3 seasons at his current level? It's him.

He didn’t even play last year. Seems like they are just getting decent bench guys on one year deals, just trying to make the playoffs.

And even when he starts to decline.....I still think he'll be a 19-20ppg, 6-7rpg, and 5-6apg player.....

Been saying this for the last several months......nothing new here.

Well of course, but you want to get the last few seasons of potential out of him. You think they would be pushing for Kawhi in a trade and getting rid of Deng hard. They can still sign someone next year too possibly

2016-2017 was the last season in the NBA.

He played for the Vancouver Knights......

But, he's just 30. Not like he's Kendrick Perkins or anything.
