He did that as a private citizen. When he actually started his campaign, he was openly mocked and laughed at by the media and told he had no chance of winning.

Hillary has been personally attacking him since he lost while also blaming everyone else for her losing.

From everything I've read and heard about Jimmy Carter, he was as nice as they come. His Presidency was largely a dumpster fire.

If you haven't noticed, the world isn't a particularly "nice place" and there are a lot of assholes running other countries. Sometimes, to get things done and do what's best for the country...the President has to "out-asshole" them. lol

That's why I didn't vote for Trump or Hillary. Seemed like trying to decide what kind of bread I wanted my shit sandwich on.

I've been pleasantly surprised by Trump's accomplishments, but not that surprised that he's been kind of an asshole about how he gets it done.

Had Hillary won, I would have hoped to have been pleasantly surprised by what she accomplished as well.

All jokes aside with me, Mecca, and LAD.....The big thing that bothers me about Trump is the Stormy incident and denying he knew about the payoff.

Marriage isn't for everybody but when the Stormy affair came out.....it was horrible for Melania and the Republicans on here in the PF were like, "So what?"

But. If it were Obama? The outcry would have been huuuuuge.

Hypocrisy in politics is really what turns me off from even wanting to discuss it.

Carter was a victim of the times. He actually did a bunch of good things, including appointing Paul Volcker to run the Fed which was huge.

But he was handed a stinker of an economy and a C-130 caught on fire and that doomed his Presidency.
