I'd be fine with the Rockets getting a headache and distraction added to the mix...

If the y are expecting him to pick up the slack for Arenas, they are going to be pretty sad.

Big distinction though: Capela has earned a big extension. Noel didn't.

I can understand that. It's just Melo to me is more of jinx than a missing piece of a title team.

As a Syracuse fan, I would kinda like to see him with the Lakers, but I just don't see the fit. If the Lakers had traded away a bunch of youth to get a star, Melo might have slotted into one of those vacated roles. But as things stand, he would be fighting for backup minutes.

It's obvious this kid is no Rhodes Scholar.

But, he's super talented.

They need to assign a Assistant Coach to him, like the Bucks did with Giannis, to help him navigate life in the NBA for his first year.

Hopefully he's just immature (as opposed to being a bad egg)... which isn't necessarily a crime for someone his age.

The C's already assigned an assistant coach to him... they do it as a matter of routine for all young players, apparently... we'll see how it all plays out.

Agree.

But, the Big windfall of money from 2 Seasons ago would have been the time to capitalize.

He just had the bad luck of becoming a free agent when money is tight.

Yeah as Gman said they have assigned him a dedicated coach and a life coach. Seems his parents are all on board too. Good kid and apparently video game fanatic. Stupid or immature we will know in years ahead. Kids got game tho.

When have you known Lebron to ease off? This still sounds like sour grapes to me.

It sounds like reality after he says things like, I'll play off the ball this season & I know we're not a contender THIS season. In his 15 season thus far we have yet to see him play off the ball. When he went back to Cle they made Kyrie who is a natural PG SHARE the ball with LBJ which eventually ended up as Kyrie being pushed out to being less of their PG & more of their closer.

I never said he wouldn't give full effort so you & @Shaqdaddy11 can help each other out by pulling each of your panties out of those bunches.

You think he's going to play 82 games this season AND lead the league in minutes even though he knows there's ZERO chance they can win? It sounds good, but I'm not buying it & neither is many other people.

Yup. I mean think about this- from just a location perspective - if you had to choose between Cle & LA to retire, which would you choose? IMO it's not that hard of a decision. Granted, I am CA home grown, but that's besides the point. Most people LOVE cali.

Couple that with his future business opportunities being more fruitful in LA than Cle it's a no-brainer.
