My guess is he's in that category of being good in doses. I'm wondering how well he'd do with being a starter. And if they move him to the starting lineup does that make their bench vulnerable?PJ Tucker

Wow. So, he thinks he should make $25m/year because the team made it to the WC?Clint Capela is out of his mind
4 yr/100. Take your 15 mil yearly
Sources told ESPN that the Rockets' initial offer to Capela was in the four-year, $60 million range, with the blossoming star center seeking a deal similar to Oklahoma City Thunder big man Steven Adams' four-year, $100 million contract.
Looks like another Nash/Amare' situation. But, Capela won't realize this until it's too late - when he has neither the money he's asking for & winning.Yeah, he's asking for too much money too soon, imo. He looked good, but did he look good because he's that good...or because of the attention teams had to pay to Harden and CP3?
Kobe was already on a team when they loaded up with stars past their prime - or as most of us put it - guys riding the coat tail of the young guys that were winning. He ain't trying to be on the wrong side of that. Not going to lie.....that has crossed my mind a few times since James signed with the Lakers.
Didn't say anything because I'd get rippied and it'd be the ultimate reality TV show with all the players they have signed.
No, Houston isn't overpaying him. There's a big difference. He isn't a dominating center at this point so why does he think he should be making $25m a year? Stop it. They've already over paid CP3, doing so with Capela could really sink the ship at some point.Houston didn't value him and thinks he's replaceable.
They are about to find out it isn't that easy.
What? Barnes smokes crack now? lolApparently Matt Barnes has decided that smoking crack is a great way to spend his free time.
Maybe if Kobe didn't tear his Achilles, he tries to do the MJ thing and come back for a season or 2 at 175 years old. But not after that injury.
These are all the same things #45 has done - is currently doing.Still a piece of Shit.
Sometimes people just aren't capable of real change.
Former NBA player Kermit Washington has been sentenced to six years in federal prison for spending hundreds of thousands of dollars in charity donations on vacations, shopping sprees and plastic surgery for his girlfriend. The U.S. attorney’s office says the 66-year-old Las Vegas man also was ordered Monday to pay nearly $970,000 in restitution. Washington pleaded guilty in November in federal court in Kansas City, Missouri, to making a false statement in a tax return and aggravated identity theft.
In relation to the bolded sentence, your friend here (@shopson67) thinks they have plenty of good shooting around LBJ - right now.I don't think the Lakers have passed the Rockets.
Not with all those bricklayers on that roster.
But, if they lose Capela?
Yup.
I still don't think we've seen the last of the major shuffling since Kawhi is still in San Antonio.
I think it's the Lakers or Philly.
But, if all the offers are Shit, who's to say Pop won't try to close the gap between Houston and the Warriors by sending Kawhi to the Rockets for Capela, Gordon and Parts?
Never underestimate the power of the petty.
I'm not making any hard predictions until that last shoe falls.
lol yes, so Capela's agent now needs to bend a little since it's clear Hou isn't going to pay him that ridiculous salary.Nobody starts negotiations in the middle. Shoot for the max and see what you can get.
Yep.PJ Tucker played the 4 for Houston last year. But, again, the Rockets relied on length and defensive stoppers to give GS problems. Tucker's a good match for them, but the losses of Moute and Ariza are a gut punch to the Rockets.
If they pay Capela & get Melo there's no room for Kawhi.Houston is pretty intent on getting Melo once they can. That'll happen before Leonard gets dealt most likely.
CP, Harden, Melo, and Leonard sounds great in theory and in NBA2K but that would take Phil Jackson type coaching to make it work.

Kuzma, Ingram and Mo.In relation to the bolded sentence, your friend here (@shopson67) thinks they have plenty of good shooting around LBJ - right now.

I think you should switch Capela & Ariza on your list.Tucker was the one guarding opposing centers at times and doing a good job of it.
Hey I think Ariza is still a solid player- but hes gonna be 33.
He was prob their 6th most important player:
1. Harden
2. Paul
3. Capela
4. Gordon
5. Tucker
6. Ariza
and as i said- Mbah a Moute signed all of a 1 year 4 million dollar deal. Not as if people were beating down the door to sign a guy didnt play in the first round of hte playoffs, averaged 19 minutes in the 2nd round, and then only played a TOTAL of 55 minutes against Golden State in 7 games.
Especially if Kerr decides to play Cousins AND Looney at the same time against Houston. SMHYep.
Anyway you look at it, they will either have to play Melo big minutes if he signs there or Ryan Anderson.
So, the drop off defensively at that position will be staggering.
Basically, they are choosing between being Fucked unreasonably hard or Fucked into oblivion....lol
But, only as it pertains to beating the Warriors.
They have a better than average chance of beating anyone else still.
