It has everything to do with how good his supporting cast is.

Like you said, he's dragged a porta-potty full of Shit to the Mountain top before.

But, he also got swept.

These young guys should be further along.

Just goes to show all that " We would be a playoff team with natural progression " talk was complete and utter bullshit.

I hate to agree with @WiggyRuss because he's usually trolling.

But, at this point, I probably would rank Boston, Phoenix, Sacto, Philly...hell, maybe even Dallas and Orlando's young guys higher.

Either these guys have no sense of urgency and think they are so good they can just turn it on the last 5 mins of games or Luke is horrible at his job.

Either way, you aren't getting Anthony Davis for Super Scorer Kuz and a couple of role players.

Shit, I don't even think you can get Beal.
"even" Dallas?

who says no: Kuzma, Ingram and Ball for Doncic.

I mean, doesn't Dallas say no in half a second?

Bro.......for the season.....

Osman, 11.9ppg, 4.8rpg, 2.2apg

or

Ingram, 16.5ppg, 4.8rpg, 2.5apg

I didn't do shooting percentages.....but I could have.

Congrats on your NBA Finals win last night.

No...dude...no. Are we comparing Ingram to Cedi now? LOL

That is BAD if you have to compare Ingram to Osman.

Cedi - He was the 1st pick in the 2ND round in 2015. The 2nd round.

Ingram - He was the 2nd OVERALL pick in 2016. He was supposed to be the young, not as talented version of KD.

Ingram isn't doing much more than Cedi is right now. Cedi is more of a shooter but has really struggled recently...now he is shooting the 3 at the same clip as Ingram. Not good, not good

Well, That Was One Hell of a Ride | By Richard Jefferson

UNREAL:

eople say, “Oh Richard, you were ring chasing.”

And I say, “Hell yes I was ring chasing.”

I played all this basketball, and I put in all this work, and I had all these crazy memories, but I didn’t have the most important thing in the world, man.

I didn’t have that ring.

So that’s why, when I was on that plane coming back from Toronto after Game 4, I was absolutely losing my s***.

We survived that series, and our reward was to play one of the most stacked teams in NBA history.

Great.

But looking back on it, I really feel lucky, because I feel like 100 years from now, people will still be talking about the 2016 Finals.

No matter what basketball evolves to.

No matter what happens to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

No matter what happens to the state of Ohio.

No matter if the Warriors wins four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, 10 more titles. (Sorry, Draymond!)

One thing will never change.

You can never take away 1–3.

One-freaking-three.

We were dead. My story was over. Sad ending. Everybody go home. It was a good run.

Done.

Then, Kyrie Irving and LeBron James happened.

Kyrie Irving. And LeBron James.

Forty-one and 41. On the road.

On. The. Road.

We go back to Cleveland for Game 6, and Lebron goes for 41 again?

Inhuman. Dumb. Nonsense.

Game 7. Back in the Bay. Are you kidding me?

Listen, I’m going to be honest with you. I’m retired now, so who cares? I was in the locker room at halftime of Game 7, sitting there just staring at the floor, thinking about the gravity of the moment, and I genuinely had to stop myself from crying right there in the damn locker room.

I wanted it more than words can express.

I know that I’m biased as hell, but for me, that 4th quarter had three of the greatest plays in NBA Finals history.

I was sitting five feet from the hoop when LeBron blocked Iggy. I have played thousands of games of basketball in my life, and I have never seen anything close to that on a court. It’s impossible. I saw the fast-break developing in real time, and I said, “They’re gone. F***. We’re down.”

I’m watching Iggy go up for the layup, and then I just see this black blur. It was like Superman swooping down in the movies. I’m dead serious. It was just a blur. I’ve seen crazy things on an NBA court. All kinds of freakish athleticism. But I’ve never seen anything like that. Lebron broke the laws of physics.

I was actually on the floor for Kyrie’s dagger three-pointer with a minute left, and that was one of the only times in my career that I felt like I was a fan watching on TV.

I’m standing in the corner, and I see him do the quick hesi, and I’m like,

… He’s gonna …

… wait, is he gonna?

… Oh f*** he’s really gonna.

… Oh f*** that went in!!!!!!!

That was one of the gutsiest shots I’ve ever seen, on that stage, in that moment.

And then you have Kevin Love.

Kevin Love, man.

Kevin Love, one-on-one in space with Steph Curry, with the NBA Finals on the line. With the weight of history on his shoulders.

What he did will never get enough credit. Kevin stops Steph not just once, but twice, and forces an impossible shot.

For me, that play is the essence of basketball. Forget everything that came before that moment. The whole game. The whole series. The whole season. The whole 50-plus years that Cleveland was waiting for their title.

All that matters is that 10 seconds.

Steph was trying to get open like his life was on the line.

And Kevin was playing defense like his life was on the line.

(I asked Kevin about that moment afterward, and he says he blacked out.)

When the buzzer went off, and we were champions, I just sat there and started sobbing. I couldn’t even move. It was just too much.

My wife still teases me about it. She’s like, “I don’t understand. You didn’t even cry like that at our wedding! You didn’t cry like that when our kids were born!”

And I tell her the truth.

I helped bring a championship to the city of Cleveland. A lot of guys got rings — but how many guys can say that?

So, yeah, maybe we only got one. But we got THE one.

Some titles……. they just mean more than other titles. That’s just the truth. I know it. You know it. Golden State knows it.

And Cleveland definitely knows it.

Some titles mean the world.

So let me just say, before I hit the road ….

Thank you, Ohio.

Any idiot can get married. Any idiot can be a father. An NBA title? That’s work. That’s worth crying over.

I didn't comment on any of that stuff.

All I said was if LeBron comes back soon and stays back he is making the playoffs. Didn't say he'd get anywhere, he won't go to the Finals. Just saying we've seen what he can do with a cruddy team around him.

Lakers are far from a lock playoffs team even when Lebron does return based on their upcoming schedule for the next month and a half

Loser will stay loser?

Cavs record: 9-35 (worst in the league)
Lakers: 23-21 (in 8th place in the much tougher WC)

Talkin' some trash when your team's dead last. Priceless!:pound:

Thanks for showing me the standings but the Cavs have injuries and in that 13 game losing streak haven't been very competitive let alone win a game. Bad loss, very bad loss. This team is no lock for the playoffs, not one player is getting better other than Kuzma

Remember, for the Cavs--Love, Nance and Nwaba are injured. TT and Hood just came back from injury. This is a terrible loss. This basically says if the Cavs were healthy and they had Lebron they would be just as good if not better than this current Lakers team....that isn't good. Moves need to be made THIS season.

If the Cavs still has LeBron, they would be firmly in the mix with Indy, Philly and Boston in the East.

But their roster is still trash.

LeBron is that good.

The Lakers don't have injuries according to Shane....just missing the best player on the planet.

Overall, yes, the Cavs have the worst record but if the Lakers don't make the playoffs with Lebron it will be far worse than the Cavs having the worst record. At least the Cavs will get a reward, a top 3 pick.
The Cavs have won something like 6 out of 7 against the Lakers in LA. So yeah I will keep it up LOL

RoLo would be a perfect fit on the Warriors roster. Think he was showing off the other day when he hit a 3 against us, LOL.

What 2 teams replace the Lakers and Clipps? Since the consensus on here is the Clipps miss the playoffs....

They don't play the same schedule. There are minor differences

Utah for example schedule was extremely tough in the first half but not as bad in the 2nd half.

The order of games is pretty important

But their roster is still trash.

LeBron is that good.

I mean other than Kuzma the Lakers roster is looking like trash honestly and they are playing in the West. Trust me I know Lebron can lead them to a top 4 seed in the West, but the reason he wanted to go here is bc he didn't want to do most of the heavy lifting...gonna have to wait at least a year to do that.

As bad as the Lakers have looked without him......the Lakers are better than the Jazz with James....
