And still just takes us to early February. This is the preseason y'all. I know we have to talk about something but again, healthy LeBron = Lakers playoffs and you know it. Might be an 8 seed, but it's happening. We all see what a piece of shit roster he dragged to the FINALS last year. He can drag these guys to 46 wins. If he is healthy.

This is wrong. Go look at their schedule again. It takes us to early March

i read an article that said they have the 2nd hardest schedule in the NBA in the 2nd half.

If they do not make a major move at the deadline LEBron is gonna have to go balls to the wall just to make the playoffs- the same guy coming off 8 straight Finals appearances.

I agree with this. That schedule is ridiculous

The Lakers schedule starting on Thursday until March 9th

AT OKC
AT HOU
VS GSW
VS MINNY
VS PHX
VS PHI
"AT" LAC
AT GSW
AT INDY
AT BOS
AT PHI
AT ATL
VS HOU
AT NOP
AT MEM
VS NOP
VS MIL
AT PHX
VS LAC
VS DEN
VS BOS

Outside of their 2 games against the Suns and that game in Atlanta, there isn't a single easy game on their schedule for the next month and a half starting on January 17th.

Well no one can say they don't belong if they are still in the top 8 come March

the positives for the Lakers--- LeBron should be well rested besides the injury- and Kuzma has established himself as a legit scoring option that can, pretty much, consistently be counted on to give you 18-20 points.

Kuzma is taking a TON of shots- which is not a surprise with LeBron out, but damn--- over 21 a game the last 4 games.

they need Hart to get straightened out--- he had been fantastic from 3 up until lately---- October- 40.5% from 3, November- 37.5% from 3, Decmber- 38.4% from 3, January- 17.5% from 3. I would suspect that is somewhat of a correction to the mean- but also a big part is that LeBron is out and the spacing is just not as good.

I really enjoyed watching Tristan absolutely RIP UP McGee.

I dont know if i agree with all of this- in fact- i definitely do not- but wow...the balls on some of these "sources"

The Lakers, like the Cavaliers, are bad without LeBron

When James left for Los Angeles, there were people within the Cleveland Cavaliers' organization who privately joked that "the tread is off his tires."

a member of the Cavaliers told ESPN he thought last season "took a lot out of" the now 34-year-old James.

But here's the biggest difference, perhaps, in what those Cavs teams experienced and where the Lakers are now: James has the wear and tear of all those seasons pushing and prodding and carrying the Cavs under his belt.

When James returns, what if he can't carry this Lakers group -- in a tougher Western Conference and comprised of potential stars alongside him rather than bona fide ones -- the way he used to?

You see, Johnson didn't want L.A. to be Cleveland all over again because the plan was to have James' teammates lift him up just as much as he lifts them up. So far, that has been anything but the case.

No one really expected LA to win a title this year. It's better for LeBron to not push himself and wait on the pieces needed to push for a title.

you want to be the one to tell that to LeBron? Guy that has been to 8 straight Finals? To just take it easy? That in your age 34 season, one where if he didnt miss this time he could ahve won MVP, to just give up one of the last years of your prime? Good luck with whatever front office member would get that task.

Good win, Wiggy.
thanks...it was fun watching TT beat up McGee like that.

Surprised Hart has been so cold lately- he had been great. Kuzma is a flat out s corer and can do it in multiple ways......

like the Cavs without LeBron, Lakers are just not that good.

it is of course justa VERY VERY VERY VERY small sample size- but watching Sexton and Ball o nthe same court- if i had to pick one, i think i would have to pick Sexton for the long run. Itll be interesting to see

Your Lakers need to make a move and get some shooting. They are down to 26th in the NBA in 3 pt shooting now.

Scary thing is their schedule in April is tough if a playoffs spot is still up for grabs.
this is gonna be the biggeest challenge of LeBron's career- esp. if he has to manage the injury going forward if it is not fully healed and is something that nags him.

IF the injury is fully healed that will be huge--- but if its something he has to manage the rest of the way and be awar e of his minutes etc. that is gonna be tough.

LeBron is obviously maybe the very best of all time- and was playing MVP ball before he went down- but this is a going to be a helluva challenge for him- and he does not have a Love or Kyrie or Bosh or Wade to help carry the load.

last nights game was the 10th LeBron has missed this season. For some reason it feels like more than that.

In the season he returned to Cleveland he missed a total of 12 games. I think that season, the '14-'15 season is the most games he has missed in a season.

They are 2nd last in 3 point shooting since James has gone out (Billie Mac said that during the game)......he comes back and they'll be fine.....

You won't win many game shooting 7 of 34 and these kids fall in love with the 3, even when it's not falling.

The only good part of my weekend (sports-wise) was the Rams victory. Well, the Saints killing the Foles phenomenon was good too...
