Bennett's all time bust no doubt. But I still can't put him ahead of Bowie or Oden.

I think what made those two tough was who got drafted after them. Oden even totally healthy would've not been on KD's level but he'd have been solid albeit somewhat archaic as the game changed

Bowie wasn't even close to a bust.

Bowie had a pretty productive career when he was healthy and played till he was 33.

Oden was hurt.

Bennett was neither.

Damn right! It's normal for the # 2 pick (that was taken before MJ & Barkley) to average 10.9 ppg & 7.5 rbs for his career.

Productive career? His career high in points was 16.0. His career high in rebounds was 10.1. Four of his ten seasons he didn't even average 10.0 ppg.

And Oden. I still think his bones are made of glass. The fella was way too brittle.

Oden, Bowie, Walton....

Injuries torpedoed their careers.

Thabeet, Kandi, Ferry, Bennett just stunk.

I agree injuries ruined their careers. But I can't put Walton in w/ those 2 because he did guide the Blazers to their only title in '77. And he's a HOFer.

Thabeet, Kandi, Ferry (the next Larry Bird!:pound:) & Bennett. All crap.

Yep.

Drafted to high and bust aren't the same things...for me.

11ppg, 7.5rpg, and 2bpg. in 511 games.

Not exactly Bennett numbers:

4ppg and 3rpg in 151 games....

True.

But, Walton got named to the top 50 team.

He didn't earn that based on his pro career.

Hof?

Yes.

He was dominant in College.

Top 50 NBA?

Hell no.

He was robbed by injuries.

Just like Sabonis.

Just like Brandon Roy.

Just like Derrick Rose.

Hurt still counts as a bust. Bowie no, not his fault where he was taken. And Portland already had a hall of fame 2 guard

I agree.

He didn't live up to where he was drafted but he still played well over his career.
To me a bust is a player who washes out of the league after a couple years. Not every top pick is an all-star. There's a lot of space between bust and all star

I agree w/ what you said. Except Sabonis. Wasn't he stuck playing in Europe during the prime of his career? I thought I heard something like that but don't remember all the details.

Danny Manning, Antonio Mcdyess, Roy, Bowie, Walton, Rose, Oden chronically injured, not busts.

Bennett, Thabeet, Danny Ferry, Darko maybe even Bargnani, Okafor....

Busts.

Not legit NBA Talents.

But...

Marvin Williams, Ball, Turner, Battier.....Drafted to early.

Productive players, not Stars though.

Yes, he didn't come to the NBA until both his knees were cooked.

He would have been a better version of Jokic.

Seriously, no exaggeration.
