My GAWD....

That would be a glorious trade for the Wiz.

But, I think the 6ers would want Beal.

I hope Otto is being suppressed like Olidipo was in OKC.

But, I wouldn't want him at that price, honestly.

He is defintely being supressed. Also defintely not a value at his current contract. Reports suggest that NO was potentially willing to deal Randle for Porter, suggesting he still has some value and his skill set is an obvious fit for a well functioning team in need of a wing.

Fultz and Smith may be too much for Porter, but it defintely isn't getting Beal.

You can ask them next time you're down there

That stuff is for people like you and your boy Dramond. Thunder opened up a can on the Warriors, neither team at full strength but obviously the Warriors were in worse shape.

Kyrie said he doesnt like playing with any of the C’s. He wants to be traded to the Knicks. It actually wouldnt surprise me

I didn't think the Celtics would be signifcantly better with Kyrie and Hayward because I have said all along that Kyrie is the most overrated player in the NBA. The Celtics struggles are not all Kyrie's fault, but his preferred style of play absolute suppresses ball movement and at least somewhat mitigates the stats he is able to produce on the team output.

They are certainly better than this, but they aren't a championship caliber team. Not without an actual superstar.

I really thought OKC was the better team when they played them in game 1 up there at full strenght and just didnt close. At least the Thunder got their road games vs GS out of the way and I'll take a split.

Obviously, the C's are playing poor basketball right now.

I'm not hitting the panic button yet or anything... but these are the issues I see:

1.) Jaylen Brown is playing really bad basketball. It's not just his shooting (although it's that too)... his head doesn't appear to be in the game the way it needs to be.

2.) Hayward is not 100% of what he used to be yet. This is not unexpected. I actually don't think he is playing badly, all things considered.

3.) The C's as a whole are shooting the ball poorly. They are a 3 ball team that is not shooting the 3 ball well. And it's not for lack of good shots, either... they are getting their fair share of open looks. They're just not hitting them like they're capable of.

4.) Defensive intensity/effort (the supposed calling card of this team) has been inconsistent.

---------

9-9 is disappointing, to say the least. We'll see how they go from here.

Celtics' Kyrie Irving says he's not planning to celebrate Thanksgiving: 'F--- Thanksgiving'
Irving has Native American heritage, and went through a naming ceremony with the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe this summer

Maybe he'll use the day to sail across the world?

Meh... he's got the native american card to play on this one.

:noidea:

A lot of people bitching about circumstances need to take a hard look at where they and their families would be now if things hadn’t gone down like they did. They want to benefit from it and bitch about it at the same time though, just the world we live in.

I don't necessarily disagree with you.

Fultz and Smith may be too much for Porter, but it defintely isn't getting Beal.

I don't know if the Sixers are thinking of star hunting but Fultz and Smith is probably too much for Porter and not nearly enough for Beal. Fultz, Smith, Sixers #1 and the Heat unprotected #1 might be something they consider but ultimately it would depend on who else goes in.

IMO, the Wizards need to just blow it up and eat shit for a few years. If they could dump Wall on the Suns or Magic or whomever and they could get real assets for Beal, that might be their best course of action.

I agree with you.

Do the Sixers have a contract they could give up to package with Fultz in a Porter deal?

Because I think he could play a role very similar to what Covington did for the 6ers. Just with more efficient offense and less defense. I honestly think he would be a great fit.

So what the heck is going on with the Celtics? No way I thought you guys would lose last night especially the way they did.

Still need to see guys step up Lebron shouldnt have to go superman mode like he did in Cleveland. They need Ingram to step up and be that second guy. He wont be Kyrie or even Love, but still needs to establish himself as a #2. I understand he is still young. Also, Lonzo seems like he passes TOO MUCH. He's not aggressive enough, he had a driving layup against Sexton where he could have drawn a foul or 3 point play and he made a bad pass and TO. His unselfishness is a great quality but he needs to level it out some, again young player but still

Agree. Everyone is still learning their roles and how to play together.

Lonzo definitely needs to be more aggressive. There was a stretch during the game last night where he was aggressive and got right to the rim 5 or 6 times. Then he had that turnover you mentioned right after that.

I think Ingram will become the 2nd scorer, but he's trying to learn when to be that 2nd scorer. A lot of times he looks like he wants to "take over" for a stretch, but isn't sure if he should.

I've said all along that the key to them getting to the playoffs is not digging too big a hole while they're figuring things out. They're 10-7 so far, if they continue to improve, they should be fine for the playoffs and may even be able to grab a decent seed.

Disagree a little on Superman mode. He's going to have to do that from time to time, that's part of why you have superstars. So you can win games that you otherwise wouldn't because they can put the team on their back. What the Lakers don't want is for him to have to do it as often as he had to in Cleveland.

Probably doesn't work. Would have to be Chandler.

I do think Porter is better at this stage, but you probably want a better return for Fultz

They would need to throw Chandler in most likely.

Yeah. Porter is an upgrade over Chandler but not that big of an upgrade and costs twice as much and has 3 years left on his contract. I would think that they would expect a better return for Fultz or they would just keep him.

I honestly think we are getting to the point where you can't keep him. He is not going to restore his value given the current role in Philly, and every day that passes makes him 1 step closer to bust status vs. upside potential in the eyes of trade partners.
