So if Embiid continues to play the way he is playing, is there any chance he could win MVP?

Averaging 29 points and 13 rebounds a game is pretty Shaq like. As is getting 11 free throw attempts a game. The big difference being that he is an 80% FT shooter.

Needs to stay healthy and keep producing at this rate for 70+ games.

Soooooooo, reports over here in philly is that the Sixers are interested in Korver and Melo if he should get released. I dunno man, I think the Sixers will be fine without those dudes.

I kind of get the "I want to be there for the atmosphere" thing, which would really be the only reason to do it.

But I would never do it because being there and not being able to see the court would drive me nuts.

They started 5-1 a few years ago before Cousins got sick and the coach was fired soon after, but this start feels different. They are young, hungry, and love playing for/with each other. It helps that this team is a lot easier to root for and more fun to watch than the ones from previous years that had Boogie, Rondo, and Matt Barnes on them. The over .500 record might not last so I'll enjoy it while I can.

If they can finish their tough November schedule still over .500, then they should be in the mix. I think they are 3-3 so far.
