Young Team.

Extreme highs, and lows, are to be expected.

The Kings had a 3-1 road trip which is good and the only loss was to a 1 loss team, but I know a lot more lows like this are coming up. As much as I want them to somehow make the playoffs this season it's not gonna happen. Maybe next season if they make smart trades and FA signings.

WCS still has more to prove, he struggled with the freak today which is understandable but we'll see if he can stay consistent throughout the rest of the year or not. I want it to work out, but I wouldn't be rushing to give him a big contract yet. Buddy and Fox work well together and can keep getting better. Neither Bagley nor Giles will likely win ROY because they don't play a ton and get to do as much as other rookies but that's fine, if they keep learning and improving I'll be happy. Bogi might be back next game, despite the Kings scoring a lot of points his shooting and passing ability is missed. He's their best SF right now despite being more of a SG.

So he's gonna take off the game tonight to help the Lakers and then return against....the Kings. AWESOME!

That was a really underrated win by the Spurs last night. Nirotic had a nice night and Holiday had a season high, but Davis was contained. DeMar and Aldridge both had bad shooting nights and the team still got the W and held the Pelicans, the second highest scoring team in the league, to just 95 points. Good, good win.

Now for the inevitable letdown defeat tonight to Orlando.

No RUDY GAY tonight

I figured Popovich would sit down one of the three (aldridge/derozan/gay) on a back-to-back.
Gay probably could have played, but Pop wanted to rest him (as usual early season rest games).

The Spurs throwback offense doesn't have any athletic wing players other than Gay.
You can sort of cobble together low post scoring or mid-range jumpers from other guys.

But, you cannot make players athletic.

Rudy is really the only slashing athlete on the entire roster with size.
maybe Lonnie Walker IV when he makes his debut??? Maybe.
