A lot of teams will have plenty of cap space to sign a star in the offseason, I know not all can get them as easy as them but it's still true.

He is already an all star caliber player. He is one of the 5 best players in the East right now. If he gets a jump shot he will be a superstar.

He is a solid player no doubt. Stats show that. I think he is weak on defence and you are right about that jump shot

Simmons received some pretty solid support for all defense team last year. He is one of the best up and coming perimeter defenders in the NBA.

I wouldnt say he is a top 5 player in the East

If I actually thought before the season that they could stop the Warriors and now it's falling apart I'd be more upset, but I didn't so I'm not. The Melo effect is real.

I don't even think that Melo is really the problem. Although I'm sure he's not exactly helping. lol

The Rockets got worse in the off-season. Meanwhile, the Warriors, at worst, stayed the same. If Boogie is still able to play at all, the Warriors got better and maybe significantly better depending on what he can still do.

He's already an all star type if he never even attempts another 3. Imo, the only thing adding a serviceable 3 would do is move him from all star type player to elite player.

Losing Ariza and Luc Mbah a Moute really hurt them. A lot.

Somebody on here thought signing James Ennis was enough to offset that.....LOL.

Been following the Lakers (and sports in general) since 1970. In my younger days, I could "homer" with the best of them.

Have learned over the years that nothing in sports is permanent so it's best to just enjoy the good times and be patient during the down times.

As for being received by my Lakers Nation brethren...results can be mixed at times. lol

Sorry man, but you are way off here.

Giannis and Kawhi are the best players in the conference.

After that, Simmons is firmly in the conversation for next best player with Embiid, Oladipo and Kyrie/Tatum.

He is better than anybody on the Wizards, Nets, Knicks, Bulls, Hawks, Cavs, Magic, Heat, Hornets and Pistons. Very few players on those teams are even debateable.

I will give you a pass here because maybe you forgot just how weak the East is in terms of elite talent, but most of it resides West. Even then, of the 6ers were in the West Simmons would still be a top 10 player there. He is very good.
