Way to go Sloane. Back from the "hinterland" with a bang.

i haven't seen the match yet, but i'm thinking andersen being a serve and volleyer caused nadal to change his strategy on the return.Rafa was smart and returned close to the baseline on the duece side where he was able to cut the angles off and chip the ball back. Not sure why he did not do it all tourney. Made this match easy for him.
slam count
nadal 16
federer 19
federer better keep playing for a while longer.
friend of mine went to the final yesteday. She said it was not a good match. Felt like a first round match. I am kind of glad I didn't watch it. I saw some of the best matches of the tournament, so I am happy.
Never expected the men's slams to be won by Roger and Rafa this year. So weird.
Yup, Nadal will win 3 FOs alone in his remaining years so if Fed wants to stay on top he might want to be in prime shape for the AO in January. Might be his last chance to win a tourney other than Wimby's going forward as Murray and Nole will still be rusty. Some of these young guys are finally stepping forward too and Delpo will be in better shape by then but it will still be Fed's best chance.
watching the replay. from looking at the first set, andersen looks like he has his way when he gets his first serve in. he's able to take advantage of nadal standing so far back on the return and easily move forward and pick off nadals return for a winner. unfortunately for andersen his first serve percentage isn't looking good. when he hits a second serve then he's forced to get into a slugging match with nadal, where nadal has the advantage.
with nadals resurgence on hardcourts it makes it interesting. it looks like it'll come down to who can stay healthy, plays longer, and wants it the most.Yup, Nadal will win 3 FOs alone in his remaining years so if Fed wants to stay on top he might want to be in prime shape for the AO in January. I agree. I would rather go to an early round and see a bunch of matches and players than have an assigned seat in Ashe to see one match that may not be great.I would never go to the finals unless i get free tickets or I'm rich. It is hit or miss unless you have the world's best going at it. Not spending a ridiculous amount of money to see a boring match which is why I prefer to go in the middle of the tournament where I can see several matches so one shitty match won't kill my spirits
