Your predictions SUCK nuraman.

I got the Misha Zverev over Isner right, before the tourney started.

I had the correct winner of this year's Wimbledon.

But yes, in general they've been off for the past several years.

Last one I thought was decent was the 2014 AO, when I had a Nadal vs. Wawrinka Finals before the tourney started. I had Nadal winning though, given that Wawrinka had never beaten Nadal.

The funniest one was 2016 Wimbledon, when all 4 of my Finalists were out after round 2.

very excited to have these two women in the final. Last night's match with Venus and Sloan could be a changing of the guard. I was impressed with how calm Stephens was in closing out that final set and how subdued she was after winning. Still work to be done, but she just beat Venus.

Also, surprised she didn't say something like "I grew up watching Venus" or something cliche like that.

I don't think it's a changing of the guard yet.

I think sometimes people (not you specifically) call them too early.

* People thought when the Thunder beat the Spurs in 2012, that the Spurs wouldn't compete anymore. They made 2 more Finals in 2013 and 2014 with one title, and had a 67 win season in 2016.

* When the Colts beat the Broncos in the 2015 playoffs in Denver, they thought Denver was done, and that the Colts would be a presence in future years. Denver came back the next year in the 2016 playoffs and won, even with a reduced QB performance.

* Sampras looked awful in 2 USO Finals in 2000 and 2001. He kept at it and won in 2002.

* Roger Federer kept coming close from 2013-2016, and finally won again in 2017.

* Del Potro looked like he would be a force after 2009, but it hasn't happened for various reasons. Maybe it will this year.

Serena will be back winning majors, it's just a question as to how many.

As long as Venus can maintain her anticipation, she will still be in the mix. She didn't look slow, just made some unfortunate choices.

Out of the 16 SF spots over the next 4 majors, how many of them will be USA? We have to see how many these girls continue to make.

I guess I had a more recent good prediction too, in having the right FO Finals.

No way. At her age, she is a rock star and really played the best tennis in the women's game this year. Her year has been one of the better ones she's had in her career since Serena became well....Serena.

Just announced.

Cover roofs, better facilities, and upgrades to the locker rooms.

Great news for Paris and the French Open. I will always love the FO the most and it's great to see them doing what's needed to keep this the most unique tennis tournament in Tennis.

The new stadium project

@Sanctus, can you post your thoughts on the French Open, since it's your favorite major.

I believe after Venus lost Wimbledon, she said she was going "back to the drawing board". She's not satisfied and still has that desire and belief.

This article from last year's USO uses that same quote and shows her saying how she's trying to be perfect.

Venus Williams Seeks Perfection, in Lieu of the Spotlight

I was hoping for a Coco Vandeweghe vs. Venus Finals, once the SFs were set.

I don't think she thinks like that though. I don't think she looks at her age and thinks she shouldn't be competing. I think she believes she can. She feels able.

She's a competitor so i would expect that

If Nadal doesn't win this USO he should just shoot himself or retire! No Fed ( his nemesis of 2017), no Nole ( his nemesis in general ), no Wawrinka ( the guy that can beat him on a given day ), and no Murray.
He got a guy whose wrist has had four surgeries and screwed up his backhand. Nadal's lefty forehand should wreak havoc on Delpo's bh side and just demolish him. And yes for once in a rare while I will root for Nadal to win ( because he should ).

DelPo is getting slapped around left and right, caught in a revolving door and has no idea where he is. And y'all were under the impression that this clown beat Federer fair and square!! ROTFL!! Nadal is executing the game plan even a five year old understands. Pummeling that weak bh side of DelPo and then when he is pinned to that side hammering down the line FH. JMac was trying to build hype that does not exist and only a layman of a tennis follower would be prone to believe that DelPo could beat Nadal. Back in 2009 DelPo got lucky with the Nadal-Fed double because he didn't have wrist issues and was younger.

Nadal was very impressive. Sucks that there was only one major that was half-interesting. I don't want to count anybody out but I'd bet my house on Nadal, and it would probably pay at a bag of chips.

You are just one of the ugliest front-runner fans that I've encountered in a while.

Really? You sound like a layman tennis follower to me. Maybe try some other sport? Like Golf?!

And if you had half a brain you would have noticed that I typed it when Nadal was still down by a set and hadn't evened the set count. LOL!

if nadal stands any further back on the service return, they'll have to open a gate for him.

Even though Nadal may win this slam and gain ground in the tally race with Fed, I am ok rooting for him now. After Fed won the last two slams nothing matters now.
