So, I want to move past the draft lottery and start talking about free agency as well as the draft.
Taking a look at impending free agents, there are a handful of guys that we should consider adding:
J.J. Redick. As much as I love the thought of adding a shooter like Redick, I also love the thought of adding a guy with tremendous work ethic who spent countless hours working on his shot. Yeah, he's going to be 33 years old but I just don't care. He's shot .446 from 3 over the last 3 seasons. I think he needs to be their priority free agent. How much could he benefit guys like Stauskas and Simmons?
Shabazz Muhammad. Probably one of the more underrated G/Fs in the league, Muhammad has a PER of 16.1 over the last 3 seasons He's inconsistent as a jump shooter but he was showing some improvement there in the first half of 2016-2017. His biggest issues appear to be defensive effort and passing -- could Brett Brown coach him up to being a less selfish player? The ability is there.
Luc Mbah a Moute. Functioned primarily as a 3-and-D SF with the ability to play the stretch 4 for the Clippers this past season. We could use someone like that. Plus, he's got the personal connection with Embiid.
Obviously, it would be great for them to address the PG position. I suppose part of this depends on what they do in the draft. I'd love to draft Josh Jackson and add Redick in free agency. I think the team would be very close to complete at that point.
