How many young guards does this team need? Goodwin, Bullock, the rights to Bogdanovich, and now Booker. None of these guys are even going to play next year if Bledsoe and Knight are still on the team. First they load up on starting point guards that they play at the same time and now they load up on extremely young shooting guards that will never play. Idk what this team wants to do.

Well, the Suns needed a shooter and needed more athleticism, and Booker apparently checks both boxes. Bullock is now gone, and Bogdanovic will not come over for another year or two. Goodwin offers potential, but he is not a shooter per se.

The bad news—sort of—on Booker is that he is extremely young. Indeed, he was born two days before Steve Nash played his first regular season NBA game. Thus the Suns will need to add a veteran shooter, especially now that Marcus Morris is gone.

The good news is that with the thirteenth pick, Phoenix managed to select a player that many analysts had pegged for the top seven or eight.

Drafting Markannen at 4 would be by choice. I would be fine with Monk too. Not sure about Tatum or Jackson.
