I totally forgot that Sock beat Cilic in the US Open 3rd round to get to the match vs Tsonga. Man what a bad last 2 majors on the hard court for Cilic. Eliminated in the 3rd round at the Open and the 2nd round here in Australia

high quality stuff between sock and tsonga. just a couple of big points at the ends of each of the first 2 sets made the difference.

sock's attitude as tsonga was serving for the set was not good. he'll need to work on that if he really wants to take the next step in his career.

i think sock is about 3-4 months away from being where he wants to be, fitness-wise. this is a game of movement, especially to break into the top 20. sock's getting there.
