woke up this morning hoping I could watch the final set of the match...then I saw it was on Tennis Channel. Fuck.

temps did hit 50-something yesterday, so I went out and shook the rust off. Felt good to swing the racquet again.

As a Wawrinka fan I was very disappointed. Not because he didn't win the match but because of the way he absolutely gift-wrapped the win for Roger with that one shitty service game in the 5th set. That really pissed me off. Missed some 1st serves and had no pop on his serve during that service game. But anyway congrats to Roger. At this point, I hope Dimitrov wins but if he doesn't, I could careless who wins a final between Nadal & Federer.

Only saw 1 set of Venus match. Glad I missed the rest. Did not see any of the Mens. Hopefully I can catch it on rerun. Forgot to DVR. Glad for Fed. Hope he can win 1 more. Hopefully Dimitrov beats Nadal tonight. Fed's backhand still not good enough against lefties.

remember when 18 yr olds used to win the majors? There has been a MAJOR shift in that in the last decade or so. It's pretty cool. It's like players aren't hitting their prime until later in their careers.

They both seem like great guys off the court but I guess the answer would be Rafa. Plus considering he is 30, he would have more chances to win a GS in the future. This may be Roger last chance. Won't have many (if any) majors for the rest of his career where he's able to avoid Novak & Andy.

Yeah. This didn't feel like a 5 setter where one player came though during a tense moment. But just a random game dropped.

Overall this match didn't seem like it had many long deuce type games.

i have directv, and when i try to log in to watchespn, it just opens a new window having me log in to directv. i assume it's the same for those with other cable providers.

Several years ago, even when Venus occasionally lost early, or the Bryan Brothers lost earlier than expected, I still wanted them to keep playing.

Because they could still produce sets where they played great tennis.

It was just whether they could be consistent enough to win matches.

But even if it was for only a set, to me, I still enjoyed watching some good level of tennis.

I still want to see Roger win a major by beating Djokovic again.

It's been too long since he's beaten Djokovic at a major.

It might not happen, but it's still something I hope for.
