'Tis but a scratch...
Saving my predictions, as I always do, for last week of Spring Training. I was dead-on with my 86-win prediction for the Tigers last season, though they did not play all 162. The biggest keys, IMO:
(1) Good health for the starters, particularly Zimmermann and Norris, who both missed a ton of time last season. (Also see broncosmitty's note on the 2016 thread about needing 400+ innings out of Fulmer, Norris and Boyd.)
(2) A couple of guys in the bullpen to step up ... namely, Justin Wilson and Bruce Rondon. Not thrilled when I see the same crappy crew as last year, so a few will have to out-perform expectations.
(3) Center field DEFENSE. The Tigers order 1-7 is very good. The CF probably bats 8th or 9th, so offense isn't critical. But we need above-average D.
Overall, the Tigers need good luck with players' health, mainly because the second-tier players are marginal and there is still no organizational depth.
