CBS ranked Outback Bowl as #20 in interest out of 39 bowl games. "Two average teams who didn't beat anyone of importance but somehow won 8 games....will be background noise in some households on New Years day."

A. If Miggy does start to return to normal...why pitch to him? He'll be a HOF bat surrounded by junk and/or young kids.

B. If he can return to his ".300" days, will there be anyone to drive in (or drive him in) on a consistent basis?

C. Finally....will Miggy's return to "normal" give the Tigers a shot at 63 wins in 2018?

I don't think he'll return to an MVP level, but I don't think it's unreasonable for him to have a few more seasons in line with his earlier Tigers days. 2008-09 Miggy is still a damn good hitter.

But yeah, even if he bounces back, is there a point in pitching to him? Castellanos is the only other Tiger that projects to be an above average hitter per Steamer and he'll probably give some of those runs back with his defense.

Outback Bowl is buried early on New Years day. Other games available to watch. Two other bowl games at the same time period...UNDEFEATED UCF plays Auburn and Notre Dame plays LSU.
Doug...I will agree with you that Michigan is still a name draw on TV....but to the average "Joe Fan", I think both of those other games outdraw two 8-4 teams. Notre Dame outdraws Michigan (always has) and a lot of people are going to want to see UCF play a top team. In fact, THAT is the game I want to see!
Try and be an adult and see my point and stop acting like a 12 year old.

BTW doug....I keep forgetting to ask you this question about Jim Harbaugh. Have you noticed that over the past season his sideline antics have practically disappeared? All the jumping, screaming and arm waving is practically gone. Why?
Some have suggested that the university told him to tone his "show" down. Others have suggested that he is doing it to prove he can actually coach and thus be able to move back a bit easier to the NFL. Either one, or a little bit of both? But he better put on his usual show early in the Outback Bowl or a lot of people will be turning their channels to watch a different bowl game. Two 8-4 teams (neither in the top 25) will not hold many people's interest without a Harbaugh tantrum.
